In an exclusive interview with People, Kayla shared that her ongoing drama with Alex Hall has reached a standstill, as the pair are not on speaking terms despite working at the same firm. “It's been an ongoing thing with her,” Kayla shared. “I think you guys only see what you saw on the show. She's been constantly speaking that way about me for quite some time. I wasn't surprised, to be quite honest.” During Selling The OC season 3, the ongoing tension developed into even bigger drama as Kayla took offense to some harsh remarks Alex made on a podcast.

During the season, Alex and Kayla tried to squash their beef after Alex publicly said Kayla should be institutionalized. According to Kayla, “She continued to speak badly about me on her social medias and we are not on speaking terms.” While Alex has always taken issue with Kayla, she’s gone to a new level of drama during Selling The OC season 3, and even has Kayla blocked on social media. Kayla shared with US Weekly that Alex “ended up blocking me and a few other of my family members, which I found very odd.” The pair has yet to reconcile.

Kayla and Alex’s feud isn’t new, as the pair have been struggling to build a relationship since Selling The OC debuted. Alex began the series by spreading a rumor that Kayla made a pass at the then-married Tyler. While Kayla owned being attracted to Tyler, she explained that when she learned he was married, she hadn’t gone any further. Alex refused to believe her colleague and claimed Kayla’s actions left a bad taste in her mouth. While Alex went on to have a fling with Tyler the following season, the women have never been able to move past their drama.
