Below Deck’s Paris Field Throws Shade At Chef Nick After He Ruins Charter Guests’ Food
Summary Paris Field calls out Chef Nick for a disastrous meal on Below Deck, showing loyalty to Fraser Olender.
Chef Nick's journey on Below Deck season 11 has been rocky, but he may improve in season 12 if given another chance.
Paris strategically slams Chef Nick, likely to boost her social media presence and gain more support on the show.
Paris Field takes a shot at Chef Nick Tatlock after his recent blunder on Below Deck. The Australian stew recently joined the show in Below Deck season 11, episode 10. She replaced the former Stew Cat Baugh and took on her responsibilities. Little did Paris know, she was walking into a big disaster. The new stew had no idea that her Chief Steward Fraser Olender was dealing with too many problems to come over. One such issue was his differences with Chef Nick. Fraser didn’t like Chef Nick's food and felt it could be much better.
Paris took to her Instagram recently to show her allegiance to her senior, Fraser. She talked about the charter and made a sarcastic comment against Chef Nick for ruining the food.
Paris posted a photo from the day and wrote, “just before receiving the guests lunch filled with water.” The Below Deck stew added, “ice had melted and the sushi was swimming lol.”

Paris sarcastically thanked Chef Nick for dropping the ball. She continued, “next time use a eski.” Her picture showed a table decorated with flowers and utensils but without food.

Should Chef Nick Tatlock Return For Below Deck Season 12?
Chef Nick Could Perform Better In Below Deck Season 12
Close
Chef Nick’s journey in Below Deck season 11 has been a rollercoaster ride. When he first appeared in episode 13, he seemed like the perfect fit, with a wealth of experience and an impressive portfolio. However, the high-pressure charters proved to be a challenge for him, and his work failed to impress his teammates, especially Chief Stew Fraser. Despite his setbacks, it's possible that Chef Nick just needs more time to find his footing on a show like Below Deck. Perhaps, if Bravo gives him another chance in season 12, he might surprise everyone with his growth.
While Chef Nick hasn’t been the best, he has also not been the worst. Over the years, Below Deck has featured far more incompetent chefs.
One such name is Kevin Dobson from Below Deck season 7, who continually conflicted with Chief Stew Kate Chastain and Captain Lee Rosbach. He also forgot to make one extra dish during an important charter. Chef Leon Walker was also just as bad as Kevin. He started a fire in a galley, eventually resulting in Captain Lee dismissing him from the boat. Chef Leon didn’t return to the franchise again.
Paris did what anyone in her situation would have done. She supported Fraser by attacking Chef Nick because she understood that the chief stew was responsible for her job. She knows that only he can promote her. Paris also probably threw shade at Chef Nick to stay relevant on social media. She’s a new cast member who’d want more people on her side. She’d like to stand out and be a successful Below Deck star. It’ll be interesting to see how Chef Nick responds to the stew. He’s her senior and could teach his fellow Below Deck star a lesson.
Below Deck airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.
