Genshin Impact 4.7: Leaked Rerun Characters Are Bad News For Some Players
Summary Leaked rerun characters in Genshin Impact 4.7 may disappoint players, but not because the characters themselves are bad.
The rumored rerun characters are seemingly taking priority over other long-awaited reruns.
The potential rerun banner order for Version 4.7 remains uncertain until confirmed during the livestream, so expectations should be flexible.
The potential character banner reruns for Genshin Impact 4.7 have allegedly leaked and, if the rumors are true, they might be bad news for some players. Version 4.7 is the next update lined up for HoYoverse’s hit action RPG. While the game is still in the early stages of Version 4.6, a patch that introduced Arlecchino as a playable character, story quests, and a new area, the tests for the next update have already commenced. With them, in addition to the three new already confirmed characters in Genshin Impact 4.7, are several leaks about the upcoming content.
This includes the rumored gameplay kits for all three of these confirmed characters, namely Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. The first two are speculated to be 5-star units, according to the leaks, while Sethos is said to be a 4-star character. There have also been several leaks regarding a new game mode, initially reported as an update to the Spiral Abyss. The leaks have evolved, however, and the new endgame mode in Genshin Impact 4.7 is rumored to be called Imaginarium Theater. Now, recent leaks have started to delve into some of the secondary content, including the possible banner reruns.

All Rumored Rerun Characters In Genshin Impact 4.7 (Phase 1 & Phase 2 Banners)
Information Has Not Been Confirmed By HoYoverse
Close
As seen in information obtained by Azure Leaks, shared in a now-deleted post tagged as “Suspicious” on Reddit, the rerunning character banners in Version 4.7 are Wriothesley and Navia. According to the leaker, Wriothesley is expected to run in Phase 1 banners alongside Clorinde, while Navia is said to run in Phase 2 banners with Sigewinne. As a leak, this should be taken with an extra degree of caution, as the information may be incorrect or subject to change before the release of the patch in Genshin Impact.
The rerun characters and banner order should only actually be confirmed during the Version 4.7 livestream. Past updates had reliable rerun leaks debunked during the presentations, so it is best to not create concrete expectations.
Leaked Rerun Characters In Genshin Impact 4.7 May Be Disappointing News
Wriothesley & Navia Are Great DPS Units, But Another Should’ve Run
The news of Wriothesley and Navia’s possible reruns in Version 4.7 comes with mixed reception, as demonstrated in the comments on the Reddit post. Though the two 5-star characters are very good DPS units, players express the desire for another rerun: Furina. The 5-star Hydro character first ran as a playable character in Version 4.2 banners back in November 2023 and has since been unavailable for players to obtain. The problem is that she has become an essential character in several types of team comps in Genshin Impact due to her versatility as both a healer and sub-DPS.

Wriothesley and Navia are also popular, with Wriothesley first running in Version 4.1 alongside Neuvillette (who has already reran in Version 4.5), and Navia being introduced as a playable character in Version 4.3. The big problem here is mostly Navia’s rumored rerun preceding Furina’s rerun. The Hydro character came out before the Geo unit, even if only a few weeks separate their releases. For top-tier team comps, Furina is also a lot more important and frequent in Genshin Impact, as Navia is mostly restricted to mono-Geo parties that aid her with Crystallize reactions.
"Competitively, Furina is a much more useful character, since she can operate as a reliable healer or a powerful sub-DPS with immense Hydro application potential."
There is nothing specifically wrong with Wriothesley’s leaked rerun, as it is anticipated due to his power as a Cryo DPS and how long ago he was originally released. However, Furina’s potential returning banner being overrun by a less popular character that was released after her is problematic. It could be a tactic to have players ever more angsty for a rerun of Furina in Genshin Impact, but it does the actual players no favors by keeping her away from banners – especially with a rumored new endgame mode lined up for release in Version 4.7.
Why Furina Is So Good In Genshin Impact
Hydro Character Is Not Only Versatile But Good At Both Her Jobs
Competitively, Furina is a much more useful character, since she can operate as a reliable healer or a powerful sub-DPS with immense Hydro application potential. As a healer, players can double down and focus on HP and Healing Bonuses for her and Furina can keep the party alive during tough battles. She is constantly being used in team comps across a series of challenging activities, including high levels of the Spiral Abyss.
Furina has, arguably, reached the same status as Zhongli, which is nearly indispensable for a variety of team comps.
As a sub-DPS, she is capable of dealing a great amount of off-field Hydro DMG without relying on her Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact. In fact, if properly built, Furina can rival Yelan and Xinqiu in that aspect and even operate as an emergency secondary healer because of how swiftly she can swap between roles.

In the comments on the Reddit post, players also express regret for not pulling for Furina during her initial banner run. It is uncertain when she will become available again and Furina is likely missed by several players due to the aforementioned versatility. There is still a chance for her to appear, however, as rerun banners are often confirmed during the respective livestream and, hopefully, the early Genshin Impact 4.7 leaks are still subject to change.
