The One More Shot cast contains a robust roster of fresh and familiar faces. The new movie, which premiered in theaters and via VOD in early 2024 before a streaming release on Netflix in May, is a sequel to the 2021 British action-thriller outing One Shot. Both movies were directed by James Nunn (Shark Bait, Tower Block, The Marine 5: Battleground, The Marine 6: Close Quarters) from a screenplay by Jamie Russell (Lock In, Bricks), though Nunn also has story credit on the pair. Other returning behind-the-scenes figures include producer Ben Jacques, composer Austin Wintory, and editor Liviu Jipescu.

The 2024 action movie is presented as a single, continuous take just like the previous installment in the franchise, though this high-concept presentation is achieved using digital manipulation and editing rather than actually filming the entire movie at once. This is the same technique that was used to bring other one-shot movies to life including 1917 and Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). In spite of being presented more or less in real time, the movie features quite a few different characters played by both returning stars and newcomers alike, including several stalwarts of the action genre.

Actor: Adkins was born in West Midlands, England and had his breakout role when he played Yuri Boyka in Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, a character he would reprise in two sequels. This kicked off a career largely dominated by action franchises, both direct-to-video and otherwise, which flowed naturally from his training as a martial artist, as he earned a black belt before he turned 20. Major Scott Adkins movie franchises include Ninja, Debt Collectors, and Accident Man. He has also made appearances in at least one entry apiece in Bourne, The Expendables, X-Men, Jarhead, Ip Man, and John Wick.

Scott Adkins played Killa Harkan in John Wick: Chapter 4, which saw him star opposite other action movie icons including Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Donnie Yen.

Character: In One More Shot, Scott Adkins reprises the role of Jake Harris. Harris was the lead of the original One Shot, which followed him and his team fighting insurgents at a CIA black site located on an island while trying to transfer a prisoner. The new movie sees Harris land in hot water once more when his transfer of yet another prisoner is interrupted by a team of mercenaries attacking the airfield.

Waleed Elgadi as Amin Mansur - Waleed Elgadi, who plays suspected terrorist Amin, has appeared in a wide variety of action titles including FBI: International and The 355, though he is also known for playing Bessus in all six episodes of the Netflix documentary series Alexander: The Making of a God.

Waleed Elgadi is the only other returning cast member from the original movie to appear alongside Scott Adkins in the sequel.
