How To Complete The Rat’s Nest Quest In Gray Zone Warfare

Handshake asks you to complete various tasks in Gray Zone Warfare, including the "Rat's Nest" quest, which requires you to recover intel from enemy hideouts. This mission may seem simple, but tracking down hostile outposts in the large open world can be hard. Traveling around Nam Thaven may be confusing and cause you to run into areas you aren't prepared to face if you aren't careful.

The Crimson Shield International faction in Gray Zone Warfare gives you the "Rat's Nest" mission through the NPC Handshake. Pursuing this mission can lead to excellent rewards, but you need to explore a good portion of the world for clues regarding where enemy hideouts could be. You must collect intel from two locations on the map and bring it back to your Base Camp to finish this quest.

Every Hideout Location For The Rat's Nest Quest In Gray Zone Warfare

Explore Two Points Of Interest

The two hideouts you need to find for the intel are found to the northwest and east of the map, in coordinates (Map 169, 120) and (Map 172, 118). These locations are near different points of interest, with the one toward the northwest being close to Kiu Vongsa. The other hideout to the east can be tracked down between the Town Hall and Gas Station areas already marked in the same region on your map.

Look for buildings with red graffiti marking the structures used as enemy hideouts in Gray Zone Warfare. Similar to Strongholds in Warzone 2, enemy soldiers heavily guard these places, so you'll need to form a plan of attack to make it inside the building safely. Clearing out every enemy from these locations is the easiest way to get the intel uninterrupted.

Both instances of enemy intel are found upstairs in each hideout, with the one to the northwest being called the Convict's Notepad and the east hideout being named the Thug's Smartphone.

Once you find the right items for enemy intel, return to your Base Camp and find Handshake around the hub area. Give him the intel by selecting Handshake from the Vendors option in your menu, then follow the "Hand Over" prompt to give him the items tied to the mission. This will complete the "Rat's Nest" quest in Gray Zone Warfare and give you great rewards to use for future missions tied to the faction.
