90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Angela Deem’s daughter Skyla Deem is calling Michael Ilesanmi out for his shady tactics. Angela has two daughters – Scotty and Skyla -and six grandchildren. She came to Nigeria to meet Michael for the first time when she was the sole provider of their home and taking care of her ailing mother. Angela’s daughters always opposed her decision to marry Michael. Angela had even asked Skyla to “tote” a baby for her and Michael, but her daughter had outright refused. Skyla could never fully trust Michael and kept persuading her mom to leave him.
“I think he’s been a scammer all this time.”
Angela’s daughter Skyla tried to warn her mom about Michael much before the latter came to America and “disappeared,” as per a video shared by AccessHollywood.
The clip is from an upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 in which Angela is having a video call with her daughter to complain about Michael after his visa interview. Angela says, “no,” when Skyla asks if Michael got his spousal visa. She adds she doesn’t think Michael was denied a visa but that the authorities were investigating Michael’s past K-1 visa denials.

Angela informs her daughter that Michael happened to “slip” when he said that he moved the case to Abidjan. Angela was under the impression that Michael’s visa interview had been shifted to the Ivory Coast from Nigeria because of a visa backlog. The consular had seen that Michael’s K-1 visa was denied and wrote to the U.S. Embassy in Lagos to find out why it was denied. Angela and Michael didn’t know why Michael’s visa was denied twice. Michael told Angela they had to wait two weeks to hear back and suggested that she go back home to America.
When Angela told Skyla about Michael’s plan to send her back to the U.S., Skyla said, “That’s because he’s not trying to leave with you, mama.” Everything Michael was doing had started to look “shady” to Skyla. She reminded Angela of Michael’s lies and contradictions from the past because “it’s always something.” Skyla was certain that Michael had been scamming Angela right from the beginning. Skyla asked her mom to figure out what was going on in Michael’s head if he was using Angela to get to the U.S. without her. All Angela could do was sigh and say, “Oh my God.”
It looks like Skyla, just like millions of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers always had an inkling about Michael’s plans once he landed in America. While they would never have guessed Michael was going to dump Angela within two months of his arrival, they expected him to leave her nonetheless. Michael already had a backup plan in place if Angela broke up with him when he cheated on her with the 30-year-old American woman. Watching these older episodes would make Angela regret not seeking the red flags that were always there.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
