Solo Leveling: ARISE - Should You Pull The Cha Hae-In Or Silver Mane Baek Yoonho Banner?

Solo Leveling: ARISE - Should You Pull The Cha Hae-In Or Silver Mane Baek Yoonho Banner?

Summary Pull wisely in Solo Leveling:ARISE to maximize your chances of obtaining high-rank characters and weapons.

The Custom Draw banner offers the largest variety, while Limited Hunter Draws have higher probabilities for specific characters.

Cha Hae-in is recommended over Silver Mane Baek Yoonho due to her damage output and free signature weapon availability.

In Solo Leveling:ARISE, players can gain new characters and weapons by "pulling" for them - spending in-game resources to roll the dice and receive one at random. It may seem like luck is the only factor involved, but there's a bit of strategy when it comes to pulling effectively. Solo Leveling:ARISE characters are divided into two separate tiers, one of which determines their in-universe rank, and the other the rarity of obtaining them from a random pull. There are systems in place to ensure that every player gets a Super Super Rare character eventually.

And of course, it's possible to game the system. Character pulls for Solo Leveling:ARISE can always be spent on one or more "banners," which are essentially menus that prioritize different character and weapon rolls. The main banner, Custom Draw, offers the largest variety. Limited Hunter Draws come and go, but usually offer a higher probability of pulling a high-rank Hunter. Some of the current Limited Hunter Draws focus on Cha Hae-in and Silver Mane Baek Yoonhoo, S-Rank Hunters from the Solo Leveling manhwa and anime. There's a certain degree of preference involved, but which of the two is better?

Solo Leveling:ARISE - Pros & Cons Of The Cha Hae-In Banner

First and foremost, Cha Hae-in might just have the best damage output of any single character in Solo Leveling:ARISE. Cha Hae-in is an SSR member of the Fighter class which, in Solo Leveling:ARISE, is unsurprisingly the equivalent to a DPS. Her attacks simply melt through even the toughest bosses, which already makes her an incredibly valuable party member. It also makes her one of the easiest characters to play. She's an excellent team member for beginners, as her damage output reliably outpaces any early-game mistakes new players are prone to making.

But even as the game goes on and the enemies get more powerful, Cha Hae-in remains a reliable Fighter. She excels at both story missions and gear farming, in no small part thanks to her reliance on Light damage. Enemies in Solo Leveling:ARISE are subject to a pretty standard RPG-style type matchup system, and many enemies are weak against Light. In particular, she's indispensable against one Encore Mission boss: the Giant Arachnid, whose weakness to Light makes Cha a no-brainer.

Encore Missions allow players to rechallenge bosses they've already fought as part of the story for better loot. Playing one requires spending an Encore Mission Key, a resource that's replenished free daily, but can also be restored via events or in-game purchases.

Also, while Cha Hae-in's banner is active, players can also obtain her signature weapon, absolutely free. Certain other banners require players to pay to roll certain SSR weapons, but Cha's can be obtained free from her active banner. That's an additional incentive to spend pulls on that banner - even if the player doesn't get the character they want, they may walk away with a valuable weapon instead.

Solo Leveling:ARISE - Pros & Cons Of The Silver Mane Baek Yoonho Banner

Silver Mane Banner

Similarly, Silver Mane Baek Yoonho is also an SSR Fighter. Unlike Cha, however, Baek specializes in Dark damage, which isn't as common a weakness. It comes in handy from time to time, but he lacks the kind of versatility of his Light-damage counterpart. However, Baek does have the unique advantage of Bleed damage. This damage-over-time effect can quickly run out an enemy's health bar if applied correctly - and since the amount of damage it does is determined by the enemy's HP, it can be especially effective against bosses.

However, many of Baek's most powerful skills rely on his own HP being low. Baek gets more powerful the more damage he takes, so players have an incentive to keep him in the front line and let him take more than the occasional hit. But that makes him a dangerous character to play. Keeping Baek's HP in the sweet spot - low enough that he's at his most powerful, but high enough that he's not skirting death - is difficult, and makes him a difficult sell, especially for new players.

And while Baek is currently available through the limited Silver Mane banner, he's likely to be added to the basic Custom Draw banner before long - almost certainly before Cha. This is based on the timeline for a previous banner, the early access Ultimate Hunter banner based around Choi Jong-in. Choi was added to the Custom Draw banner immediately after launch, only shortly after his limited banner expired. Baek is expected to undergo a similar process, which means pulling for him will be easier and cheaper in the near future.

Related Save One Material In Solo Leveling: ARISE Or You May Regret It Like other gacha games, Solo Leveling Arise is filled with resources players need to collect, but one resource is important to save for leveling.

Finally, players have to pay extra to pull for Baek's signature weapon. This is in direct contrast with Cha's weapon, which can currently be pulled for free.

Solo Leveling:ARISE Should Prioritize Cha Hae-in

Spend Pulls On The Radiant Battlefield Dancer Banner

Ultimately, Cha Hae-in's banner is the best of the currently active options. Cha herself makes an excellent team member, and can carry the player through both story missions and optional side content. Her weapon is also free, so players won't have to spend too much money to kit her out. Pulling the Radiant Battlefield Dancer banner can help improve the Solo Leveling:ARISE experience early, and carry the player all the way through the late game.

Baek is a perfectly good Hunter, too, but there are other Dark SSR-Rank hunters who do almost as well. And since he'll probably be added to the Custom Draw banner first, players have little to lose by waiting for Baek. Pulls aren't wasted on the Silver Mane banner, but players are better off spending as many as they can on Cha first. She's just a better Solo Leveling:ARISE character all around.
