They were married in January 2024 in a live, televised event called the Golden Wedding. However, just three months later, Gerry and Theresa announced that they were getting divorced due to their inability to compromise about where they'd live. Neither one of them wanted to leave their family.

In the comments section of one Gerry's Instagram posts, the former Golden Bachelor leading man answered a fan who said, "Heard you're dating again!!!" Gerry replied, "Definitely not." Gerry's post included a carousel of photos of his dog and his 92-year-old dad. The caption read, "My favorite time of the year on the Lake, and Cody's too! According to IndyStar, Gerry Turner will participate in the minor league baseball team the Fort Wayne TinCaps' Love and Roses Night on May 17, featuring a VIP experience that has a Q&A session. The VIP ticket package includes a meet and greet with Gerry, which allows each guest to take a photo with him.

Between his public appearance at the baseball event and his very wholesome Instagram post, Gerry seems to be on a mission to change his image.
