Poison Ivy's Wardrobe Never Fails to Stun
If any of Gotham's villains could crash the Met Gala while being able to blend in and stand out among attendees, it'd be Poison Ivy.
When Harley arrives, she is quickly attacked by mud monsters, who are immediately called off by Poison Ivy. She appears suddenly with her red hair curled, her skin green, and a red outfit budding around her. The new outfit features a floral coat-like dress that is open in the middle, draping down to the ground with a train. It is split, revealing a red bralette top as her primary upper covering. The top of the dress rests on her arms and frames her upper body, making her appear to emerge from a budding flower.
Though this look isn't very practical for her daily villainy, it is perfect at highlighting her botanical abilities and flair for fashion. The 2024 Met Gala was themed around The Garden of Time, a short story by J.G. Ballard that emphasizes aristocratic fall, the passing of time, and human mortality. These are all themes that perfectly encapsulate Poison Ivy's fight against humans and corporations that endanger the environment and organisms she is connected to. This makes the look a perfect fit for the fashionable event, blending comic themes and iconic villainy with modern fashion.
