When the rancor gets loose and unleashes itself upon Mos Espa, Din Djarin is the one who attempts to tame it, but he fails and soon finds himself vulnerable to attack. Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Grogu are all left with no escape when the exploding light cruiser crashes into Moff Gideon's secret base, leaving them vulnerable to the flames - until Grogu steps up to take care of it.
