90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Shekinah Garner revealed how she looked when she was young before plastic surgery in throwback photos. Fans were introduced to Shekinah and her partner Sarper Güven in season 5 when the aesthetician briefly moved to Turkey to live with the model. Shekinah had thought that Sarper telling her he’d been with 2500 women was a typo but realized he wasn’t serious about her when he refused to make their relationship Instagram official. Still, Sarper proved he wanted to be with Shekinah through his efforts, even though he was controlling in his behavior.

Shekinah recently took her Instagram followers along on a journey of her becoming a licensed aesthetician.

“Everyone starts somewhere,” she wrote in her caption for the video, which was a compilation of short clips and pictures showcasing her story to success. In her first few photos, Shekinah was a young woman attending her classes at the Federico College of Hairstyling, where she posed with her friends. The pictures showed Shekinah giving her first facial treatment, her working on mannequins when she didn’t have clients, finally graduating and slowly getting busy with work as she took appointments for waxing and a lot more.

Shekinah’s video proved to be inspiring to her followers. They thanked her for sharing her journey with them and giving the newcomers in the industry hope that they could be booked and busy like her. While Shekinah is garnering success and positive reviews on the work front, unfortunately, the same can’t be said about her relationship. She returns to TV screens in July 2024 with 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 and Sarper already has a new list of red flags ready to showcase. The series follows Shekinah on yet another Turkey adventure.

Sarper is now a “Reformed bad boy” since he’s become a one-woman man after dating Shekinah.

However, that doesn’t mean that Sarper is any less of a controlling boyfriend because he’s still making sure Shekinah does what he likes. Sarper not only dictates what kind of makeup Shekinah should use, but he’s now designed a new nose for her. Fortunately for Sarper, Shekinah is still with him in 2024.
