Similar to Keepsakes and Aspects, Arcana Cards provide passive buffs that can boost your stats, grant Death Defiance, or give other unique perks. How many Arcana Cards players can wield depends on their grasp, which limits your ability to equip these useful cards.

Arcana Cards in Hades 2 have many different uses, cards such as The Boatman give Melinoe a base amount of gold crowns entering each night, while The Titan grants an additional 20 base health and Magick. Each Arcana Card uses a specified amount of grasp, with players only starting with 10 total grasp. Powerful cards can use up to five grasp, while lesser cards may only use one or two. How To Increase Grasp In Hades 2

You can increase Melinoe’s grasp in Hades 2 by using Psyche. Psyche is a resource in Hades 2 that you can collect through a variety of methods. Most commonly, Psyche is a room reward given for clearing encounters successfully, much like the commonly acquired Godly boons. You can also use the Tablet of Peace tool to compel Shades to return to the Crossroads, which also grants this resource upon completion. Aside from these two central options, you can also purchase Psyche from either the Wretched Broker or Charon’s Shop.

Psyche room rewards are identified by a ghostly green flame, which somewhat resembles the Shades that produce the resource.

Whenever you have farmed enough grasp, return to the Crossroads and visit the Stone Slab where you usually purchase Arcana Cards. Scroll over to Melinoe’s profile picture which it shows your base grasp and how much is being used. Once hovering over Melinoe’s picture, you should then have a prompt at the bottom of the menu to increase grasp with Psyche. It initially costs 50 Psyche to increase your grasp, with each subsequent increase costing 50 more.

How To Unlock More Arcana Cards In Hades 2

Arcana Cards easily rank among the most useful passive buffs in Hades 2. Cards such as Death Defiance can extend your runs, while others may boost Melinoe’s health, damage, or gathering ability. You can purchase Arcana Cards by visiting the Stone Slab.

The Stone Slab is found at the entrance of the room right before you start another run, where you also may switch weapons or tools. All you need to do is interact with the Stone Slab and you’ll be shown the Arcana Card menu.

To unlock more Arcana Cards in Hades 2, you need to purchase nearby cards. Once you purchase a new buff, the other adjacent Arcana Cards will reveal themselves and extend out this menu further. You can purchase Arcana Cards with ashes, another reagent found in the Underworld. Some Arcana Cards will require other materials, such as Pearls from Oceanus, or other rare materials. If you farm enough Psyche to increase your grasp, you can massively power up Melinoe with more and more Arcana Cards in Hades 2.
