Yellow Answers: Revealed & Explained

REMOVE, AS BODY HAIR LASER PLUCK THREAD WAX

We lost a few attempts before scoring yellow in the first slot of today's game. Just a few misdirections that distracted us from the actual answers. Luckily, we were able to rectify those losses with a quick win in the order that the game claims is easiest to most difficult. Yellow was first and it was PLUCK and WAX that started off the hair-themed trend for us. THREAD was next with LASER following quickly behind.

Green Answers: Revealed & Explained

TWIST AROUND COIL SPOOL WIND WRAP

Green came very fast after we scored yellow with WRAP and COIL taking the charge. We saw SPOOL shortly after and had a bit of trouble separating ourselves from seeing WIND, as in the weather, from WIND, as in spinning something around another thing. Eventually, we realized the heterophone and scored a quick win.

Blue Answers: Revealed & Explained

THINGS MADE OF CELLS HONEYCOMB ORGANISM SOLAR PANEL SPREADSHEET

Blue was the leftover words for us today and we certainly did not figure out the category before hitting submit. But that's okay in Connections, all you really need is to score any three and you've got yourself a win with the leftovers.

Purple Answers: Revealed & Explained

B-___ BALL MOVIE SCHOOL VITAMIN

Fill-in-the-blank is our favorite type of category and once we were down to only eight words it was easy to spot. VITAMIN was the starter word, and the one that created the idea of "B" in our heads. We saw it fit BALL easily, and MOVIE after that.

B-SCHOOL didn't come quite as easily. I guess that's used to shorten "Business School," not something in our normal vernacular, but it made more sense than any of the other leftover words. Another new week has begun and another Connections score for the win-column.
