Build Your Own Modular 'Birdies' with ESNAF's Magnetic Toy Kits
With increasing awareness of the effects of children spending so much time on their screens, which has the potential to negatively influence cognitive and social-emotional growth, parents often think carefully about how their kids play. ESNAF (previously) is a toy company formed around the philosophy of hands-on play and learning. The company posits that thoughtful design can promote a more connected experience—and create valuable family time in the process.
Founded by architects Anastas and Bistra, ESNAF homes in on an interest in aesthetics, woodworking, and model-making to create a series of puzzle-like, sculptural toys. A new Kickstarter campaign launches the growing studio’s new line called Birdies, which invites youngsters of all ages to assemble a colorful flock of imaginative, modular, magnetic objects. The studio says, “Unlike mass-production toys and knockoffs, we create original gifts that stand out and manifest what we stand for: beautiful spaces, free play, cleaner environment.”
Find more on ESNAF’s website, and back the project on Kickstarter through July 28.
