Argylle director Matthew Vaughn addresses whether audiences can expect an Argylle 2. Hitting theaters earlier this year, Vaughn's latest action comedy follows espionage novelist Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) as she becomes tangled in a very real web of international spycraft that comes to mirror the events of one of her books. Argylle's reviews were overwhelmingly negative right out of the gate, and the film, which also stars Henry Cavill and Sam Rockwell, was a major disappointment at the box office.

In a recent interview with Empire, Vaughn comments on the chances of Argylle 2 after the first film's poor reception. According to the director, all hope is not yet lost due to the movie's strong performance on streaming. Check out his full comment below:

"We’re doing very well on streaming. People are liking it. Nothing would make me happier than making another one. I’m getting texts saying, ‘Wow, those reviews were f---ing harsh!’ The more we can get people to watch Argylle, the more chance we make another one. I’d love to make another one, we’ve got it planned. It’ll make a good little movie. We’ll see. Never say never.”

More to come...
