Netflix’s One Piece Season 3 Seemingly Confirmed By Star In Unexpected Filming Update

One Piece star Brashaad Mayweather seemingly confirms season 3 of the live-action TV show in a surprise filming update for the action-adventure series. Adapted from Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime series of the same name, the show follows the upbeat pirate Monkey D. Luffy as he searches for the show's titular treasure on his quest to become King of the Pirates. One Piece season 2 was confirmed by Netflix not long after season 1 premiered, highlighting the success of the American reimagining of the series.
Speaking with What's Popping! with Bruce Crossey (via OPLA News), Mayweather, who portrays Patty, seemingly confirmed that One Piece season 3 is going to be happening.
Despite no official renewal yet by Netflix, the star says that he believes seasons 2 and 3 of the show are being filmed in succession, hinting at the much larger production to come. Check out what Mayweather had to say below:
I really felt that that role [Patty] would be for me, and hopefully, you know, there's a flashback scene with Patty. We'll see if they flash back to it because they're filming...two seasons, seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back starting soon, so we'll see what happens.
