The cast, including Q and Tevin, piled on their negative opinions of Venus, causing drama.
Survivor 46 may have come to a close, but the drama between the cast members is still heating up and the majority of the castaways are coming for Venus Vafa, though they may not be in the right doing so. Throughout Survivor 46, the castaways stranded on Fiji didn’t always get along. Though their dynamics were typically somewhat harmonious, it was clear that some didn’t get along with others, and some were struggling to keep their personal feelings out of the game. Venus, who was originally on the Nami tribe, was a strong player who intimidated many of her castmates.
Venus’ tribe, who was originally comprised of herself, Liz Wilcox, Hunter McKnight, Tevin Davis, Soda Thompson, and Randen Montalvo, weren’t fond of her from the beginning of the game. Many were put off by Venus being intense, pushing her away rather than allowing her to play alongside them. When the tribes merged, Venus was continually ostracized by her new tribemates. With Charlie Davis and Maria Shrime Gonzalez running the game, Tiffany Ervin, Kenzie Petty, Q Burdette, Tim Spicer, and Ben Katzman were all wary of Venus post-merge. Unfortunately, Venus’ poor treatment didn’t end when her Survivor torch was snuffed out.

Venus Has Felt Ostracized By Her Cast All Season
She Was Left Out All Season
During Survivor 46, Venus was quickly pushed aside by other members of her tribe because of her strong opinions. Displaying what many of her costars described as “erratic” behavior, Venus was playing a strong game and was consistently called out for making bold moves to try to get herself into the strategic side of things. Once the tribes merged, Venus was continually used as the default vote, but the cast blindsided bigger threats for weeks before finally deciding to eliminate her from the game on Day 21. Though she nearly made it to the end, Venus’ difficulties didn’t end there.
After Survivor castaways are eliminated from the game, they’re taken to a separate area called Ponderosa. The members of the jury are required to be at each tribal council, so though they’ve been eliminated, they have to be close by. According to accounts from Venus throughout the season, she felt shunned at Ponderosa. Though the game was over, Venus shared that her castmates were still treating her poorly, ignoring her, and leaving her out of strategic discussions about who they’d choose to win the game. Though she was hoping to reconnect in a new way, Venus was left to herself.

During the final tribal council of Survivor 46, Maria chose to cast her jury vote for Kenzie over Charlie, who had been her closest ally. Maria’s choice to vote for Kenzie pushed the vote count to 5-3, and if she’d voted for Charlie, it would’ve been tied at 4-4, leaving Ben to make the final call on the winner of the game. Many feel that Maria’s decision was cold, as she’d been Charlie’s friend and long-term ally. Considering where Ben’s allegiances were, some believe it cost Charlie the game. Survivor viewers have been curious about the cast’s opinion of Maria.
After the show ended, Venus opened a Cameo account to allow viewers to purchase personalized videos from her talking about the show and sharing her opinions. In a recent Cameo, Venus explained that she felt Maria’s vote for Kenzie was cold, explaining that she felt Maria didn’t vote for Charlie due to a mix of ego and jealousy. Venus shared she believes Maria, who was eliminated in a move by Charlie at the final five, didn’t want her ally to win if she couldn’t. She believes Maria felt jealous that Charlie had been able to outplay her to the end.
Q Burdette Felt It Was Necessary To Stand Up For Maria
He Wanted To Set The Record Straight
While Venus’ cameos are typically private, her take about Maria’s vote on Charlie was shared online, sparking arguments between Survivor viewers and former cast members alike. One of the most outspoken Survivor 46 castaways, Q, felt he needed to speak up about Venus’ claims. While Q had been one of Maria’s closest allies in the game, he’d also become one of the most polarizing figures on the cast after making extreme choices like falsely claiming he’d quit Survivor and begging to be voted out at tribal council. Q’s credibility in the game wasn’t strong, but he spoke up regardless.
In a video that appeared to be directed at Venus, Q slammed the claims she made about Maria’s reasoning for voting against Charlie, as well as the claims about her treatment at Ponderosa. While Q didn’t reveal what he thought about Maria’s vote specifically, he shared that he knew Venus was eavesdropping on the rest of the cast’s conversations a Ponderosa when she wasn’t invited into them. Q’s video was harsh, as he shamed Venus for her behavior and tried to shoot down the accusations she’d lodged against the majority of her castmates for treating her poorly throughout the season.
The Rest Of The Cast Piled On Their Opinions Of Venus
They Piled On Unnecessarily

After Q released his video, there was a rough interaction between Q and Venus on X (formerly Twitter), where the pair fought over the truth of what happened at Ponderosa and after. Despite knowing that they were publicly hashing out their problems. Q continued to come for Venus, and the rest of the Survivor cast joined in with their own takes on what had happened. Tevin, specifically, backed up Q and shared his own negative opinions of Venus, while Maria called her out on her own. The drama pushed Venus too far, causing her to surprisingly deactivate her X account.

She’s Trying To Stick Up For What She Feels Is Right

While Q and the rest of the Survivor 46 cast have shared their feelings surrounding the drama with Venus, she’s been trying to speak up about her experiences throughout the season. Having been shut down time and time again, Venus feels threatened and attacked by the fact the way others have come for her. For the Survivor cast, Venus has been a difficult part of their journey in the media, as she’s been speaking up about the injustices she’s seen throughout her time on the show. For Venus, the difficulty lies in allowing herself to be victimized or speaking up.
Venus’ time on Survivor was more difficult than the journey of the average player. Dealing with consistent issues from her fellow castaways during her time on the show, Venus’ issues with her castmates have colored her experience in a way that’s clearly made it tough for her to speak enjoyably about her time on the show. Survivor 46 has been rough for the entire cast, but Venus speaking up about the difficulties she faced at the rest of the cast isn’t wrong, and the rest of the castaways trying to shut her down is a bad look for them overall.
