Tammy Slaton has lost 440 pounds since the 2020 premiere of 1000-lb Sisters and has been experimenting with makeup and beauty products ever since. Tammy has always enjoyed getting all dolled up, but it was harder when she weighed over 720 pounds. Back then, everything was harder to do because her mobility was very limited. She needed help with everything, including bathing herself, so putting on a full face of makeup was very low on her list of priorities. Despite her diminished quality of life, Tammy wasn't committed to losing weight.

Everything changed after a health scare landed the 1000-lb Sisters season 5 star in the hospital. When she woke from her week-long medically induced coma, Tammy realized that her life was on the line. After working to treat her food addiction, Tammy had bariatric surgery and lost 440 pounds, shrinking down to about 280 pounds. Losing such a significant amount of weight changed her body and her life. Now that Tammy has mobility, she lives a more active lifestyle and makes up for lost time by getting all dolled up as often as possible.

Weight loss changed Tammy's life in many ways. For one thing, it expanded her fashion and beauty options. Tammy went from size 8XL to size 2XL, which made it much easier for the 1000-lb Sisters star to find more fashionable clothing. In March, 37-year-old Tammy posted a TikTok video of herself dancing in a matching animal print pant set and a fresh-faced makeup look. The caption reads, "I know I can’t dance. I’m just having fun again sharing a smile. I hope everybody has a great day."

It's good to see Tammy dancing and having fun after the difficult loss of her husband, Caleb Willingham. Tammy hadn't had much luck in the love department when she checked into a diet rehab center and met Caleb. They fell in love and got married during 1000-lb Sisters season 5. Caleb was dealing with his food addiction, but unlike Tammy, he wasn't able to rescue himself. In 2023, just a few months after the wedding, 41-year-old Caleb died due to complications caused by his obesity.

Though Tammy was devastated by Caleb's death, she managed to stay on her path to health and weight loss, which is what Caleb would have wanted.

Tammy has always loved posting TikTok duets with fans. In January, Tammy posted a TikTok of herself in a multiple split-screen sing-along to a remake of the Michael Jackson song, "The Way You Make Me Feel." In the clip, Tammy showed off her full face of sultry makeup and dark red lipstick. In several of the multiple split screens, Tammy wore similarly bold lipstick. Since losing weight, Tammy has really explored her more glamorous side.

Since losing so much weight, Tammy's face has slimmed down dramatically, and she never gets tired of posting social media photos of her new look. In addition to her face being considerably thinner, Tammy's complexion is also much clearer since losing weight. Tammy's skin looks radiant and clear, much healthier than before she embarked on her weight loss journey. She's also rocking layered jewelry and her new hair, which she had chopped off and grown out to her natural brown color.

Tammy loved the remake of "The Way You Make Me Feel," as she sang along to it several times. In January, Tammy posted a TikTok video of herself dancing in an electric blue dress and natural makeup. The bright blue of her dress contrasted well with her yellow kitchen, making for a fun image. In the clip, she's dancing around, which isn't something she could've done before Tammy lost all the weight. Back then, she was afraid to stand up without her walker because she was worried she'd lose her balance. Now, Tammy can dance freely, with no walker in sight.

Before Tammy lost weight, dancing wasn't the only thing she was limited from doing. She couldn't leave the house on her own. She needed someone to help push her wheelchair and drive her around in a specialty van. This limited mobility robbed her of her independence, and she was basically a prisoner of her own body. Since losing weight, the 1000-lb Sisters star has enjoyed doing things that were restricted to her before, such as riding on an airplane, going to the beach, and, yes, even dancing.

Tammy isn't the only member of the Slaton family who has lost weight and loves playing with beauty products. Her sister and fellow 1000-lb Sisters star, Amy Slaton, weighed over 400 pounds when she made her television debut. Desperately wanting to have children, the 35-year-old Amy had bariatric surgery, lost 125 pounds, and gave birth to two healthy sons, Gage and Glenn Halterman. Since losing weight, she has been experimenting with style, colors, and fun hair and makeup looks.

Tammy and Amy's other sisters, Amanda Halterman and Misty Wentworth, have also gotten in on the weight-loss fun. Both women had bariatric surgery on the same day in March 2023. Though it's not clear how much weight 48-year-old Misty and 43-year-old Amanda have lost, they both look considerably thinner since surgery. 1000-lb Sisters season 6 will likely follow all the Slatons as they continue to pursue their health and weight-loss goals.
