New meditation hall at Osho Khumari Meditation Centre, Lonavala (Pune)
Osho Maitreya Mandir inaugurated on 23rd May by Chaitanya Keerti, and celebrated with Anadi’s band
A beautiful pyramid-shaped meditation hall, named Osho Maitreya Mandir, which can accommodate around 40/50 people, has been inaugurated on the occasion of the Buddha Purnima celebrations on 23rd May 2024. Swami Chaitanya Keerti was the master of ceremonies and facilitator of the three-day Meditation Camp that followed. Swami Anadi with his band gave the beat to the live kirtan to make sannyasins dance wildly. Memorable was their rendition of the mantra, Buddham Sharnam Gachhami, which “filled the atmosphere with great joy, love and surrender for our beloved master Osho,” as they write.
Osho Khumari Meditation Center is surrounded by nature and located away from the city chaos, on the Mumbai-Pune route NH-48 (65 km from Pune airport and 130 km from Mumbai airport). It is surrounded by a lake from three sides which gives it an almost 360° view of water and thus the feel of sitting on an island. During monsoon several waterfalls come alive in the hills in the distance.
The center is run by a team of dedicated sannyasins committed to share Osho’s vision with new Osho lovers. At this stage, it can accommodate 25-30 people. Slowly the center intends to also offer various meditative groups designed by Osho. Due to its beautiful location in the middle of nature, it provides a supportive meditative environment for seekers who want to do a meditation retreat on their own, a sadhana, for the duration of three weeks or more.
