The bariatric surgery, in addition to her improved lifestyle and dietary changes, has helped Tammy shrink from a size 8XL to 2XL. 1000-Lb Sisters fans have been wondering when Tammy would finally get her haircut. While she cut her bangs which made it look like her hair had a pixie-style cut, Tammy still had longer hair in the back.

She may have been wanting to grow it out since her hair was becoming thicker after weight loss, but Tammy may have taken fans’ advice when she chopped it all off. She posted a video captioned, “New hair cut” and clicked several selfies from inside her car. She now has ear-length hair with a deep side part and side-swept bangs.

Tammy’s hair does look thicker than ever, and she has luscious brown curls at the back. The front bangs could have been blow-dried straight when Tammy got her hair styled at a salon. Tammy’s follower Sherri Albertson told her, "Love the hair cut. Tammy revealed that she’s not allowed to change or dye her hair while filming 1000-Lb Sisters. She said that she couldn’t even get a nose piercing or a tattoo. She revealed that the show sometimes needs them to go back and get a “pick-up scene” and it wouldn’t match if she changed her hair. Tammy changing her hair so drastically now could mean that Tammy is done with filming the newest season. Tammy’s new haircut could only make it to the 1000-Lb Sisters season 7 if the show does get renewed.
