Dedrick’s Claim To Fame Season 3 Clues

Dedrick Is Related To A Music Legend

Dedrick's clues point to him being related to the late legendary singer Michael Jackson. During the Claim to Fame season 3 episode 1 Two Truths and a Lie game, shared via Instagram, Dedrick revealed that his celebrity relative is his uncle, who's a singer who's best known for winning Best Rock Song of the Year on more than a few occasions.

"My uncle is one of the most famous and iconic people in the world. I've never had to hide it before."

Dedrick's ears perked up when Shane mentioned that he'd been to the Neverland Ranch and met Michael Jackson, who owned the ranch and lived there. Dedrick shared, "My uncle is one of the most famous and iconic people in the world. I've never had to hide it before." The rock music clue was his lie.

During Claim to Fame season 3 episode 3, Dedrick told Danny that he first realized that his uncle was a celebrity when he came and took him and his cousins to Toys "R" Us at two in the morning. They wondered how he was able to do it. Dedrick shared that his uncle told them to get whatever they wanted. As they piled up toys, his uncle said that they’d need about four more cars, and four more cars pulled up.

Dedrick also revealed that Charlie Sheen tried to give his uncle a Ferrari because they were "cool friends," but he couldn't drive. He said that his uncle's crew was Nicolas Cage and Sean Penn, leading Danny to believe that his relative was part of the whole 1980s scene. He spoke to Naomi about it, and she told him that she thought Dedrick's relative was Michael Jackson.

Danny agreed, nothing the "giraffe" clue from the spelling challenge and the "Bubbles" clue on the Clue Wall. Michael once owned a chimpanzee named Bubbles and kept a giraffe at the Neverland Ranch. Dedrick later confirmed in his confessional that the giraffe clue was his.

Later in the episode, Danny pulled Dedrick's Wine Room clue. It included a scarecrow, an owl with a speech bubble, a man walking, a "backwards" symbol, an "in" symbol, the letter N, a plus sign, a lever, a minus sign, the letter L, and a plane landing on a runway. Danny was able to decipher that the clue referenced Michael being the scarecrow in The Wiz and moonwalking because of the man walking backwards.

Danny told Shane about this, who later said in his confessional that he loves Michael so much and that he was a very influential person in his life. Michael is also Shane's sister's godfather. Dedrick's Wine Room clue can be deciphered to mean "Scarecrow who walked backwards in Neverland," which also refers to Michael's home, the Neverland Ranch.

During Claim to Fame season 3 episode 3, the contestants played a game of telephone during which they had to memorize and recite limericks to each other in order to retell them correctly. One of the lines said, "But her dancing was bad." Miguel thought that this might be a reference to Bad, Michael's album and song. However, Adam convinced him that Dedrick was related to Little Richard, and Miguel made a wrong guess and was eliminated.

In Claim to Fame season 3 episode 4, many of the contestants were convinced that Dedrick was related to Michael, but some thought that he could be related to record executive, musician, and former American Idol judge Randy Jackson. They even convinced themselves of it by putting together clues from the Clue Wall, but they were incorrect.

The episode began with Danny and Shane talking to Dedrick about The Wiz. Dedrick played it cool by listing characters and actors from the movie, but he didn't mention Michael as the Scarecrow. Naomi, Adam, and Hud wondered how Dedrick could make the mistake of accidentally saying his own name out loud.

During the interrogation challenge, the contestants asked Dedrick if his celebrity relative was in the movie The Wiz. He replied yes. He also admitted that his celebrity relative was known for their dance moves. However, when they asked him if his celebrity relative ever owned a giraffe, Dedrick said no. In his confessional, he said that they might feel like they got him, but then they could be wrong. On the previous episode, Dedrick had confirmed to the audience that the giraffe clue was his.

Dedrick Accidentally Said His Real Name

Dedrick's Slip-Up Could Be His Downfall

The morning after the first Claim to Fame season 3 elimination, the contestants ate breakfast together. Miguel did a magic trick in which he pretended to put something in his nose and pull it out again. Dedrick said that he couldn't do that in front of his kids because they'd actually try it. He said, "The problem is I'll walk into the ER or something, and they'll be like, 'For real, Mr. Jackson? Again?'" Dedrick seemed to realize his mistake of saying his real name, but said nothing.

Naomi was the only one who realized that he'd called himself "Mr. Jackson." She shared that she thought that it was a true accident. Naomi then said in her confessional that Dedrick looked like one of Michael's brothers. She realized that the Scarecrow on the Clue Wall might refer to Michael playing the role of the Scarecrow in The Wiz. In episode 3, Naomi called Dedrick Mr. Jackson to his face, but he quickly changed the subject to the contestants thinking that he looked like Little Richard.

Dedrick Is Michael Jackson’s Nephew

Dedrick Is Jackie Jackson’s Son Siggy Jackson

Claim to Fame season 3 contestant Dedrick is actually Siggy Jackson, the son of Jackie Jackson of the Jackson 5. This makes him Michael, Janet, and LaToya Jackson's nephew. A visit to Siggy's Instagram page, which he's made private, proves his true identity. While was unfortunate that Siggy accidentally revealed his true identity to Naomi, this didn't necessarily mean that his time in the game was up. She could've chosen to keep the information quiet and use it as leverage later, or even align with him by keeping his secret.

It seemed that Siggy's time in Claim to Fame might be up when Miguel tried to guess his identity. However, his incorrect guess of Little Richard caused his own elimination instead. Now, Siggy will have to deal with Danny, who's figured him out, in order to keep himself safe. He'll have an uphill battle as the group of contestants gets smaller and smaller. However, it's a good thing for him that Naomi was eliminated because she was the only one who'd heard him say his own name firsthand.

It's very exciting that a member of the Jackson family is a contestant on Claim to Fame. Jackson family fans had already recognized Siggy in the promos before the first episode even premiered. There are so many famous members of the Jackson family, so the Clue Wall is sure to be full of even more clues besides the Scarecrow. It's going to be thrilling to see if Siggy can keep his true identity a secret from the others, or if he can at least keep himself safe now that he's been figured out by some, and continue to play the role of Dedrick on Claim to Fame season 3.

Claim to Fame airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
