The release month for Dune: Prophecy has been revealed, confirming when the upcoming prequel TV show to Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies will arrive. The upcoming series is set 10,000 years prior to the rise of Paul Atreides, focusing on the establishment of the Bene Gesserit. Dune Prophecy's story will follow sisters Valya (Emily Watson) and Tula (Olivia Williams) Harkonnen as they try to preserve the future of humanity by forming the organization. They have a major part to play in the movies, ultimately being the first domino for Paul's later holy war.
Now, Max has revealed in the trailer for Dune: Prophecy that the series will arrive on both the streaming platform and HBO in November. This means the series will begin before the year is over, marking the second release in the Dune franchise in 2024. Since the show will be arriving so soon after the movie, it seems there will be strong ties between the upcoming installment and the main story of its cinematic universe.
