Lady In The Lake (& Its Soundtrack) Continues To Showcase Moses Ingram’s Versatility
Close
Ingram shines on the Lady in the Lake soundtrack, but her appearance on it is even more exciting when put in the context of the actor’s other performances. Just four years after her performance in The Queen’s Gambit won her an Emmy nomination, the actor has proven herself to be a fit for a wide range of genres and projects. Even more impressive is the fact that Ingram’s Emmy-nominated performance in The Queen’s Gambit was her first-ever on-screen role.
A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Ingram was no doubt prepared to excel in any number of dramatic roles. Still, for her feature film debut, the actor took on a challenge of Shakespearean proportion with the role of Lady Macduff in Joel Coen’s 2021 The Tragedy of Macbeth. Where The Queen’s Gambit showed Ingram’s ability to take on period pieces and her collaboration with Joel Coen proved an aptitude for the specific task of performing Shakespeare, her next roles showcased blockbuster sensibilities. Ingram not only starred in Obi-Wan Kenobi but also took on a role in Michael Bay’s high-octane 2022 film Ambulance.
Lady in the Lake is sure to highlight Ingram’s considerable dramatic ability, but her appearance on the soundtrack may prove even more impressive. Ingram’s singing prowess truly shines on “Feeling Good”, and her cover of “Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye”, which will also be on the 6-song collection, will give fans of her voice even more to enjoy. Also exciting is the fact that Ingram will continue to blend her musical and acting talents, as the actor is also set to appear in the musical film The End alongside Tilda Swinton and Michael Shannon.
Lady in the Lake premieres Friday, July 19. The Lady in the Lake – Apple TV+ Original Songs Soundtrack will also release July 19 on digital platforms.
