The Epic Games Store is giving away an underrated action classic as part of its free weekly giveaway on July 25, 2024. As is the case with every giveaway, the game will be completely free through the Epic Games Store until 11:00 AM ET on the following Thursday, August 1, 2024, when another free game will become available instead.

As with all Epic Games Store giveaways, once players have claimed each title, it is theirs to keep even after the free giveaway has ended.

As per the Epic Games Store, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch will be free on July 25. Until then, Nosebleed Interactive's ’90s-fuelled retro arcade adventure, Arcade Paradise, and Wales Interactive's first-person survival horror, Maid of Sker, are the store's free titles.

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is an Metroidvania action game with a stunning Dieselpunk aesthetic that follows Rayton, a rabbit soldier who fought in a resistance against a Machine Legion when it invaded and colonized the Torch City. After his friend is forcibly arrested, Rayton reclaims his mechanical fist, drill and whip and begins fighting back, getting himself involved in a far greater scheme between other dangerous factions.

When F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch launched in 2021, it had surprisingly little marketing outside of a brief appearance during PlayStation 2021 showcase - which was dominated by huge announcements such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Marvel's Wolverine, and more - and with other heavily promoted titles such as Deathloop and Lost Judgment released around the same time, it easily slipped under the radar for many. Despite this, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch holds a favorable score of 80 on Metacritic and was praised for its impressive levels and atmosphere with distinct styles for each district, its large roster of opponents, satisfying gameplay, and engaging story.

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch's main objectives can be completed in roughly 12.5 hours, with 100% completion attainable in approximately 20.
