The CW has officially released the first Superman & Lois season 4 trailer, setting up the final season of the popular DC TV show, returning this fall. The CW is ending a long-running era this fall as Superman & Lois season 4 will be the last DC Comics show from Greg Berlanti. While The Flash season 9 ended the Earth-Prime continuity of the Arrowverse, Superman & Lois season 4, which finished filming in April, wraps up the franchise completely as it takes place on an alternative Earth.

Superman & Lois season 4 has been announced to return for a two-hour season premiere on Thursday, October 17 at 8 PM. The final season will consist of ten episodes, making it the shortest season of any DC TV series on The CW. The full Superman & Lois trailer will be released as part of their Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 27.

Superman and Lois Superman & Lois, the seventh Arrowverse spinoff series, will take the titular characters from Metropolis to Smallville. The CW series is set in the aftermath of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, which saw the multiverse collapse and the merging of worlds into what is now Earth Prime. Superman & Lois sees Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) dealing with all the pressures of their jobs, along with being parents to two teenage sons. Lois and Clark are no strangers to the Arrowverse, with Hoechlin's Superman having been introduced all the way back in Supergirl season 2. Meanwhile, Tulloch's Lois made her debut in the 2018 "Elseworlds" crossover. The duo is joined by a growing cast of characters that includes a new iteration of Lana Lang.
