The action manhwa from Naver Webtoon, 1 Second, was announced in October 2023 to have an anime adaptation by NAMU Animation and Duripix. The news was shared by the same studio, NAMU Animation, a recognized outsourcing animation company that has contributed to the production of anime like Boruto, Baki, and Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.

The first season of 1 Second is revealed to have 13 episodes, with plans to conclude production in 2024. 1 Second displays the front line of the firefighters, showing how they race against time and survive critical fire-related tragedies, following Hosu, who solves fires and disaster situations with a 100% rescue success rate using his special ability to see the future. An anime that reminds of series like the Crunchyroll anime Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange, but with an added thrilling and supernatural element of future sight ability.

9 Terror Man

Terror Man is an exciting manhwa series, part of Super String’s universe of webtoons by YLAB, and its most representative work. It is published in English by Ablaze Publishing. The story was written by Han Dong-Woo and illustrated by Ko Jin-Ho and follows a morally gray protagonist, Jungwoo Min, who has the power to see misfortune and use threats to prevent people from getting caught in said disasters, ending up becoming a terrorist.

The popular manhwa is getting an anime adaptation by Studio Bazooka alongside Dr. Movie, a Korean animation studio that has previously worked with different Japanese studios, co-produced the second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero. Although the anime was announced at the beginning of 2023 with a trailer from the streaming platform TVING, Terror Man has yet to share an official release date.

After the airing of the 12th episode, it was announced that the anime will have a sequel, which is currently in production, without a scheduled release date so far.

The first season of A Returners Magic Should Be Special is available on Crunchyroll and tells the story of Desir Arman, one of the last surviving magicians, who goes back in time before the war began and now has an opportunity to get stronger and change things in the future. Season of Blossom is one of the most appraised romance manhwa, with a 9.89 rank and more than 79 million views on the Naver Webtoon platform, which earns it a live-action adaptation released in 2022.

Season of Blossom's story is presented in the form of an anthology, with each part taking place during one season of the year and featuring a different main couple, touching themes from first love to friendship, bullying, mental health, and grief. The anime will adapt the first part, Bomi’s Flower, and despite the original release date, which was expected in the first quarter of 2024, currently there’s no additional information about the project.

Tomb Raider King is a manhwa adapted from the web novel created by SAN.G and introduces Jooheon-Seo, who enjoys exploring mysterious tombs that contain powerful relics to unravel their secrets. He regresses 15 years into the past after being betrayed by his employer and starts anew with the goal of becoming the Tomb Raider King. The series is widely popular, and Tomb Raider King is considered Solo Leveling’s biggest rival due to the thematic similarities between both stories.

Tomb Raider King’s anime was announced by its author, SAN.G., on the X platform, with the release date scheduled for 2026. No further details were shared about the series; however, a later repost in X by SAN.G revealed Studio EEK is in charge of the project, a Korean animation studio known for producing the Netflix original series LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS.

The manhwa had a live-action adaptation in 2020, which quickly rose in popularity outside South Korea, becoming a hit on Netflix.

While the premise of the manhwa might seem superficial, True Beauty shares an honest look at unrealistic beauty standards and how they affect young women and men, serving as social criticism and addressing themes like bullying, the cult of beauty, self-esteem, and personal acceptance. True Beauty is the perfect option for fans of romantic comedies and will have a simulcast broadcast through Crunchyroll, which begins streaming on August 7, 2024.

Due to this increasing popularity, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint will have an anime adaptation produced by Aniplex that will be streaming on Crunchyroll upon its release.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint follows Kim Dokja, an employee whose world ends up merging with the novel he used to read and is now the only one who knows the end of the story. At the moment, there is no more information on which animation studio will take charge of the project or a release window for the series.
