There's Only 1 Story I'd Want To See More Of In Your Honor Season 3
Summary Your Honor may see a season 3 revival after a surge in popularity due to Netflix streaming, but nothing's confirmed yet.
The Baxters' unresolved family drama is the only storyline worth exploring further in a new season.
Gina Baxter's downfall and Jimmy's revenge would be satisfying after Your Honor season 2's ending.
Although Your Honor was canceled after season 2, Bryan Cranston's Breaking Bad replacement is seeing a resurgence in popularity since its Netflix debut. This has sparked discussions of whether Your Honor season 3 could still happen. It's unclear if Showtime or another network would be willing to revive the series, and there are questions about which of Your Honor's cast members could return. However, CBS Studios President David Stapf gave Deadline a cautious but positive update regarding whether the series could see another follow-up.
Stapf said that it's "too soon to know" if there's demand for Your Honor season 3 — and if the network intends to follow through on it. And Your Honor's ending doesn't leave much up to interpretation, so there are questions about what another season could look like. I'm not sure if I'd want the series to take the risk of bringing Cranston back, especially since Michael Desiato's story ended so fittingly. However, there is one story I want to see more of if Your Honor season 3 does happen. It's mostly because I need one villain to get their comeuppance.

There's Only 1 Story I'd Want More Of In Your Honor Season 3 (Yes, It's The Baxters)
The Baxter Family Still Has Some Stuff To Work Out
Close
Of all the storylines from Your Honor's first two seasons, the Baxters' is the only one I'd want to see more of in a third outing. The Baxters serve as antagonists in both seasons of the TV series, as Adam and Michael Desiato spend most of the show attempting to avoid their wrath. After Adam Desiato kills Rocco Baxter in a hit-and-run, Michael becomes committed to protecting his child from the Baxters' inevitable vengeance. They seek out revenge against members of Desire they believe are responsible instead, creating even more problems for the show's characters.
But Gina Baxter eventually strikes a deal with Desire, and Michael Desiato confesses the truth about Adam's crimes and returns to prison. These narratives are basically over when Your Honor season 2 comes to a close, but the Baxters fail to resolve the issues within their family. They're the only ones with anything interesting to follow up on in Your Honor season 3. I can't stand that the show ends with Gina Baxter becoming the new leader of the mob family. After what she does to Jimmy in the series finale, I need more details about what comes next for them.
Gina Baxter Needs To Get Her Comeuppance If Your Honor Gets Revived
I Don't Like That The Show Concludes With Her On Top
Although Jimmy Baxter is the one calling the shots for most of Your Honor seasons 1 and 2, the series makes it clear that Gina is the worse villain of the two. And Your Honor concludes with her on top, as Gina takes over the family business after persuading her father to shoot Jimmy. Gina and Carlo are running things in New Orleans when Your Honor ends, and that isn't exactly satisfying. After all the terrible things they've done, they deserve to get their comeuppance. It'd be worth green-lighting Your Honor season 3 just to show their downfall.
It'd be worth green-lighting Your Honor season 3 just to show their downfall.
Given how infrequently Gina and Carlo think ahead, there's little doubt they'll fail without Jimmy's help. I'd love to see this unfold, with Your Honor resolving both Gina and Carlo's stories in another season. The show could reveal how their deal with Desire goes, and it could conclude with Gina dying or in prison. Either ending would be suitable for her character. However, watching her walk free — however realistic it is — just doesn't feel right.
Your Honor Season 2 Sets Up A Great Revenge Story For Jimmy Baxter
The Show Must Pay Off His Survival In The Finale
Gina's fate isn't the only slightly disappointing element of Your Honor season 2's conclusion. Jimmy Baxter's ending is also left open, and I'd like to know more about what becomes of Michael Stuhlbarg's character. Although Gina's father shoots Jimmy, the final moments of the series show that he's in the hospital. With Jimmy surviving, there's more story to tell. It seems likely he'll seek revenge on Carmine Conti and Gina, and he might even try to take over the Baxters' family business once again.
Although Cranston is the face of Your Honor's first two outings, Stuhlbarg and Hope Davis give gripping enough performances to continue the series without centering Michael. Michael's story is over, but there's more to explore when it comes to the Baxters — and their journey could still feature Michael and Your Honor's other characters. If season 3 does happen, that's the route it should take. It's the clearest way for the series to continue, especially after season 2 wraps things up so neatly for everyone else.
