Ahead of her Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, Annie Potts teases what's next for Meemaw after Young Sheldon and why she's involved in the sequel series. More than two months since Young Sheldon ended, Chuck Lorre and his team are already moving forward with the next expansion series in The Big Bang Theory universe. Technically a follow-up to Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will, however, shift its storytelling focus to the couple and the McAllisters. Luckily, Meemaw is still slated for an appearance, although for now, Potts is only confirmed to be in the pilot.

Taking it to her official Instagram account, Potts shares an image of Meemaw's parking spot as she films her role in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Check out the image below:

While the image itself doesn't reveal any narrative detail for the new show, it's Potts' caption that is interesting. She says that Meemaw is visiting, hence why Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will feature her. This is an important bit of information because it means that instead of the couple going to the Coopers on the other side of Medford, which was the case in Young Sheldon, it would now be on Georgie's family to make the trip.

If anything, Georgie and Mandy should continue their relationship with Meemaw, considering how much she helped them after they found out that they were pregnant.

Previously, set images of Potts attending the very first live studio taping of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage were released. Unlike Young Sheldon, its sequel will revert to The Big Bang Theory's set-up as a multi-camera sitcom. This means that it will be filmed in front of an audience. Beyond that, however, Potts will also share scenes with her on-screen daughter, Mary. Their sequences were filmed in a closed-door set, hence why Perry wasn't in Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage live taping. Beyond episode 1, however, it's unclear if Meemaw and Mary will still return.

For what it's worth, CBS is compelled to bring back Mary in future Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage episodes. The Big Bang Theory established that she remained close to her firstborn after George's unexpected death since Georgie took over the family's affairs to help her. However, nothing was revealed about Meemaw's role during this period. This would make it easier for the show to forget her. That's not to say that they should. If anything, Georgie and Mandy should continue their relationship with Meemaw, considering how much she helped them after they found out that they were pregnant.

After Mary and Meemaw's appearance in episode 1, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage episode 2 will feature Raegan Revord's Missy next. Like her mother and grandmother, however, she is confirmed to be in only one episode thus far. Hopefully, however, CBS can find a way to bring them and Sheldon together at the same time for a fun Cooper reunion after Young Sheldon.
