PS Plus Leaks Suggests A Classic PSP Title Is Coming To The Service
Summary A possible leak hints at Secret Agent Clank coming to PS Plus, expanding the PSP classics library.
An email error may lead to speculation, but previous additions suggest it could be true eventually.
Secret Agent Clank offers a unique spinoff to the Ratchet & Clank series, adding more variety to PS Plus.
The PlayStation Portable already has some of its greatest hits on PlayStation Plus but fans of the handheld console looking for more classics are in luck if a new rumor is to be believed. Arguably one of the most underrated consoles of all time, the PSP was the home of several fantastic games that served as spinoffs of Sony's most popular franchises while also boasting some fantastic standalone titles. Daxter may have taken the spotlight as one of the device's most popular titles, but another sidekick also landed his very own solo adventure on the PSP.
According to a recent leak posted to X (formerly Twitter) by user realradec, a recent email sent out by PlayStation regarding PS Plus' catalog mentions Secret Agent Clank being available on the service even though that's currently not the case.
The email appears to be accurate but it's worth noting that since it focuses on games that were added to the service in July, there's a high likelihood that Secret Agent Clank was just an error. This is further evidenced by the fact that Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters recently arrived on PS Plus so it could just be a mix-up.

Secret Agent Clank Needs To Be On PS Plus
An Underrated Gem For An Unsung Hero
Even if the supposed leak is inaccurate and the Secret Agent Clank mentioned in the PS Plus email is an error, there's still a good chance that the PSP game will eventually make it onto the service. PlayStation has slowly been fleshing out the Classics section available to PS Plus Premium subscribers: Aside from Size Matters, July also saw the addition of Jeanne d'Arc, an RPG that originally launched as a PSP exclusive but was later made accessible on PlayStation 4 and 5. Secret Agent Clank is big enough to warrant a spot in the Classics list.
For those who may not have had the opportunity to play Secret Agent Clank back on the PSP, the spinoff gave fans of the Ratchet & Clank franchise a title dedicated to Clank's adventures as a spy. Expanding on the robot's gameplay segments in the flagship series, the game is a platformer with action elements starring the titular Clank and his small army of Microbots. The game was reviewed decently with many critics praising its imaginative premise and puzzles even though its scope felt very limited.
Whether or not Secret Agent Clank does join PlayStation Plus in the near future, July has been a fantastic month for the service. The month kicked off with the addition of Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion alongside the excellent Souslike shooter Remnat II. August's titles have yet to be confirmed but given that the month is creeping up an announcement should be made in the near future.
