Zack Snyder shares details about his next movie, which he says will be a project with no visual effects. Snyder is best known for movies like Watchmen, 300, Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. With his latest Rebel Moon Netflix films, the filmmaker has proven himself a lover of effects-heavy storytelling, with his movies often taking place in heightened realities of some sort that just wouldn't be possible to create practically. After a series of successes at Netflix, Snyder has previously expressed interest in expanding both his Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon franchises.

In a recent interview with ReelBlend Podcast, Snyder is asked about what project he'll be turning his attention to next. According to the filmmaker, his next movie will be very different from most of his recent projects in that it will be smaller in scale and without any visual effects. Check out his comment below:

“We’re trying to do a small movie right now. I’m not going to say what it is. I was like, can I just do a movie without any visual effects in it for like five minutes? And then we can get back to the insanity. So that’s what we’re trying to do right now. I’m supposed to be writing this little movie.”
