Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - How To Get Falx Curved Sword (Skills, Effects & Level Scaling)

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - How To Get Falx Curved Sword (Skills, Effects & Level Scaling)

The Falx is a new type of Curved Blade introduced in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Curved Blades are designed for quick melee, slashing at enemies with a back-step feint. There are four new Curved Blades found in the Land of Shadow, and the Falx enters the line-up with a strong skill.

The Falx is designed with Dexterity builds in mind. It deals 107 Physical damage with its attacks and comes in a twin set. It isn't shiny or rare, but if you work through one of Shadow of the Erdtree's longer side quests, you'll end up with the Falx one way or another.

Where To Find The Falx

What Enemy Drops This Weapon?

The Falx is one of many items dropped by Hornsent in Elden Ring. Hornsent has a specific questline where, by picking the right options, he can assist you in beating the Golden Hippopotamus and Messmer the Impaler boss battles.

There are two main points where you may end up killing Hornsent; either in Shadow Keep, fighting alongside Leda, or as an Invader by the Church of the Bud within the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Regardless of when you choose to kill him, he'll drop the twin Falx curved blades.

The Falx comes equipped with a unique skill called Revenger's Blade. When activated, you dash toward an enemy and slice them open with your twin blades. If you charge up the skill, the dash is extended. By spamming the Heavy Attack button, you can chain this skill into a follow-up attack. This is an excellent ability and the main reason why the Falx is a great weapon to wield if you want a Dexterity-based weapon.

Stat Stat Requirement Base Scaling Scaling (+10) Strength 12 D D Dexterity 15 D B

As the table above shows, Dexterity scaling will improve as you improve the weapon. Despite that, most Physical characters who have gotten this far in the game should be able to wield it. The Falx is built for Physical Slashing damage with a 55 Bleed build-up passive effect.

Bleed builds correlate well with Dexterity, so if you want to focus on this useful effect, consider investing in other items like Lord of Blood's Exultation . While the Falx's quick, Dexterity-based attack style won't work for everyone, it's still a fun new weapon in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
