CHRONICLE JOURNAL LOG RECORD REGISTER

This category was the easiest to spot, as JOURNAL and RECORD are often used together. LOG was understandable once we saw those too, as it is used as a similar sort of record for business expenses. REGISTER was the last word we added to this category, mainly as we thought about it more as a cash register than as a chronicle. However, we changed it and made it better.

MESS OF HAIR MANE MOP SHOCK TANGLE

This one became a little trickier, mainly due to a few other words looking like they might fit in here. This was a bit of an odd category, especially if you did not know what you were looking for. CHEER, FRIEND, and SCRUB were the most recognizable as potential television shows, but WEED was less so. This show did not have the same collective identity as the others did, particularly if you did not grow up with it. Luckily, there were not many other words that could fit into this category.

WORDS AFTER "HEDGE" FUND HOG MAZE TRIMMER

MAZE and TRIMMER could fit together even without the conditions for this category, so after that, it was a matter of picking which of the other words fit. FUND and HOG were not as immediately recognizable, but something told us that FUND likely belonged with these words. For us, these ones were mostly lucky guesses and the narrowing down of words by guessing the first two categories.
