Kobe considered moving to Cameroon after their recent visit to his home country in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8. Kobe had enough savings to get a home there, and he wanted his kids to experience his culture. Emily wanted to continue living in America and thought their kids were too small to understand their surroundings in a new country. Kobe also found a job working in quality control (QC) for an asphalt company. Moreover, it’s unlikely Emily’s parents would have wanted her to move to Cameroon even though they wanted her to live independently in her own house.

Emily Hid Her Pregnancy From Her Parents Again

Emily found out she was pregnant three months after coming home from Cameroon. They were actively not trying to get pregnant, and once Emily got a positive test, Kobe’s reaction was, “Oh my God, we have to move out.” The couple were scared while telling the big news to Emily’s parents in episode 18. They thought they would tell her parents once they found the house. However, Emily said there were no houses on the market, and whatever they liked was overpriced. Emily’s father, David, decided they needed to stop enabling their daughter.

David told the cameras that now that Emily was pregnant, there was a “bit more urgency” to them wanting their daughter to buy a house. They had already given Emily and Kobe plenty of time and given them “everything.” Her mom, Lisa, agreed that Emily and Kobe had “pushed them” to the point and were still choosing to stay with them. David advised the couple to buy a house that would accommodate their needs, even if it wasn’t one they loved. Emily thought it wouldn’t be a “forever home,” and David called it a “starter home.”
