Warning! Spoilers ahead for Giant-Size Daredevil #1!The biggest secret in Daredevil's life is known by the worst person Matt Murdock has ever met. After going to hell and back, the Man Without Fear got a chance to start fresh as a man of the cloth. But his new life is in danger now that Daredevil's secret identity is known by an upgraded nemesis.
In Giant-Size Daredevil #1's story "The Devil You Know" by Saladin Ahmed and Paul Davidson, the Kingpin travels throughout Hell's Kitchen, contemplating his history with Daredevil. Kingpin has been possessed by the sin of greed and it's using Wilson Fisk to bring Matt Murdock back to Hell.
While wandering through the city and laying out bait to get Daredevil to track him, Fisk reveals that the demon possessing him has shown Kingpin everything there is to know about Daredevil. From Matt's biggest fears to his hidden weaknesses, there isn't a thing that Fisk doesn't know about Daredevil.
Kingpin's New Upgrade Has Shown Him Everything About Daredevil
Kingpin infamously discovered that Daredevil's secret identity was Matt Murdock in the classic storyline "Born Again". However, Fisk, along with the rest of the world, forgot about Daredevil's private life after Zebediah Killgrave's offspring, the Purple Children, made it so that no one could remember Murdock's biggest secret. After discovering the gaps in his memory, Kingpin apprehended the Purple Man and later used his power to once again remember that Matt was Daredevil. However, Fisk was forced to go on the run after he murdered Matt's twin brother Mike, but he recently returned during the "Gang War" storyline.
Thanks to the demon of Greed now possessing Wilson Fisk, he knows everything else Matt has been through. At the end of the last Daredevil volume, Matt Murdock was given a fresh, new life. One where he wasn't a lawyer, but rather, a priest running a home for children in need. Few people know that Matt is alive and living a different life. But thanks to the otherworldly force inhabiting his body, Kingpin knows and sees everything about Father Matt. This puts Kingpin, or rather Greed, in a serious advantage to do some major damage to Daredevil.
Kingpin's Demon is Going to Make Daredevil Suffer
Fans remember the kind of misery Kingpin brought to Daredevil's life when he first discovered Matt's identity. Now that Fisk is under the influence of Greed, he's out to literally drag Matt back to hell. Daredevil has already fought several of his allies who have been possessed by similar demons, such as She-Hulk, who was taken by Gluttony. But Kingpin practically lives to make Daredevil suffer. Now that he's got a demon fueling him, there's no telling what Fisk is going to do to Daredevil as long as Kingpin knows his foe's identity.
Giant-Size Daredevil #1 is available now from Marvel Comics.
