In an interview following the release of That '90s Show Part 2, Haverda spoke on her experience filming the finale of Part 3. Rather than the comedic ending of Part 2, which saw a car crash into the Forman kitchen, it seems that the next installment of the Netflix series will wrap up on a more emotional note. Haverda went as far as to say that the final scene was "definitely scary" with an "edge of sadness." She also made it clear that That '90s Show Part 3 would end in a cliffhanger that left her crying:

I remember just filming it, we were all very, very emotional. Not only because we had just finished the season, but the way that we leave off on Part 3 is definitely scary. I have high hopes, though, if we do get a season 3, which hopefully we will, fingers crossed, I think that everything will be resolved. But there is a big moment at the end of Part 3, and it's really bittersweet. They are having a great time, but there's definitely this edge of sadness with it. And we were all emotional while we were filming it, so the emotion will probably come through in the scene. And I remember when we wrapped filming that scene, I just started crying, and we'd have to hold it together to finish. That lovely feeling of the family being all together, the gang, but also the cliffhanger that we're left on, I think it makes a great emotional moment.

Red and Kitty Forman and Bob Pinciotti make up the heart and soul of the series, and a cliffhanger that sees any one of them go through a sort of medical emergency would certainly fit Haverda's description of this big event. Part 3 could end with the lives of one of these three in the balance, as the gang of That '90s Show come together to support one another through such the difficult time.

Based on the existing clues in That '90s Show Part 2, I would guess that Red Forman would be the one in danger. He experienced heart palpitations in Part 2, Episode 7, "Baby-Baby-Baby," and learned an important lesson about living life to the fullest while he could. This could set up a more severe heart attack in Part 3. However, Haverda's statement that she has confidence that "everything will be resolved" doesn't quite align with this. If Smith were leaving for good, surely she would know about it.
