The revival of Frasier's radiotherapist job in Seattle may lead to a new career path for the character in the new show season 2.

Kelsey Grammer reveals that the Seattle episode in Frasier season 2 will resurrect the best thing about the original series. After spending the first 10 episodes of the Frasier reboot settling in Boston, the upcoming run of the Paramount+ show will see the radiotherapist-turned-Harvard educator return to the Pacific Northwest. As previously reported, an episode of Frasier season 2 will be in Seattle, where Frasier will reunite with his former KACL co-workers. That's not all, however. The show will also dial up the nostalgia as the special outing also revives one of the most iconic parts of the flagship project.

In an interview with USA Today, Grammer reveals that Frasier will return to his old KACL booth and sit in his radiotherapist chair in Frasier season 2's Seattle episode. According to the actor, he didn't expect to be emotional filming the scene, but when he was finally there, he couldn't help but get choked up. Read his full quote below:

"At first I was like, 'this is just a set, nothing was really happening to me' But that was before I sat down in that chair."

All of Frasier's callers were voiced by various celebrities — from Rosemary Clooney to Kieran Culkin.

Some pertinent information about Frasier season 2's Seattle episode has been revealed before the special outing. Dan Butler's Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe and Edward Hibbert's Gil Chesterton, as well as, Harriet Sansom Harris' eccentric agent Bebe Glazer are all confirmed to make an appearance. Meanwhile, Peri Gilpin's Roz Doyle will also be present in the much-anticipated offering after her initial return in the Frasier season 1 finale. It's still unclear, however, why Frasier will be flying back to Seattle for this reunion, however, considering how popular and successful he became in Chicago. That's unless something big happens like KACL closing down.

If this is the case, seeing Frasier take calls for the last time will be very special for those who followed his story in Seattle. Much has been said about why the original series was so popular. The cast's performance was phenomenal, and the writing was outstanding. However, there was something so genius about Frasier's KACL radiotherapist segment. For starters, it highlighted his best asset, which was his drive to help people. Secondly, it also set the stage for countless guest stars in the show. Hopefully, the Seattle episode can inspire the people behind the revival for a new career path for Frasier. Unfortunately, his stint at Harvard as a guest lecturer isn't working simply because it doesn't allow him to actively help other people the way he did when he was still with KACL. Perhaps revisiting his old job in the PNW can convince him to change paths in the Frasier reboot season 2.
