Hogwarts Legacy Players Have One Cool Reason To Try Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

Hogwarts Legacy Players Have One Cool Reason To Try Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

Summary Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions offers players the opportunity to play Quidditch at Hogwarts.

Hogwarts Legacy players will receive an exclusive Bonus Legacy Pack in the new Harry Potter game.

Players have long requested Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy, but the new game fills that void with multiplayer mode.

With only a month left before Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions hits consoles and PC, a new trailer has finally given players a good look at what the gameplay experience will be. The game, which will focus solely on playing Quidditch at Hogwarts, will launch on Sept. 3 – and Hogwarts Legacy players have good reason to pick up this game.

Though the controversial title that took players back to Hogwarts many years before the famous book series didn’t give players the option to play Quidditch, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will offer the chance to play the popular fictional sport. The game features an online multiplayer mode, pitting players against each other, or they can work through the game on their own in career mode. Those with Hogwarts Legacy already in their game library will get a little bonus when the game launches.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Will Have Bonus Items For Hogwarts Legacy Players

The Bonus Legacy Pack Is Only Available To Hogwarts Legacy Players

Those who have already ventured through Hogwarts in Hogwarts Legacy will get a couple of extra goodies if they decide to pick up Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. So long as the player has connected their Hogwarts Legacy game to a WB Games account, they’ll automatically receive the Bonus Legacy Pack in the new fantasy sport game upon sign-in. This pack is exclusive to Hogwarts Legacy players, giving them a couple extra cosmetic items to deck out their character with before their first match.

The Bonus Legacy Pack includes the Moontrimmer Broom Skin, as well as the option to play as the infamous Slytherin Sebastian Sallow. Both Sebastian’s skin and wand will be available to Hogwarts Legacy players – don’t think too hard about how a Hogwarts student who was born in the 1870s can exist at the same time as those from the popular fantasy books. In this pack, they’ll also receive the Ancient Magic Emblem and the Ancient Magic Celebration to go along with these exclusive items.

Hogwarts Legacy Players Have Been Asking For Quidditch Since The Game Released

Rumors Of Unconfirmed DLCs Have Periodically Sparked Hope For Quidditch Add-Ons

Since Hogwarts Legacy launched in 2023, players have been begging for a DLC for the game that would allow them to take to the skies and get some real time on the Quidditch field. Unfortunately, no such DLC (or any DLC, for that matter), has been unveiled for the game; when the developers added new features to the title in the summer of 2024, players were sorely disappointed in the lack of new content, and even more upset that Quidditch was once again passed up as a possible new feature.

Though there are some in-game clues that point to more sinister reasons for the Quidditch season being canceled in Hogwarts Legacy, that particular storyline wasn’t expanded on in the game. It seems there was plenty of content already in the game that could’ve set players up to start the season back up, though the developers decided not to explore it. It continued to be one of players' biggest sticking points for the title.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be the closest thing players get to actively participating in matches of the fantasy sport, though with the option to play recognizable characters from the base franchise, it puts the focus back on the original novel series by J.K. Rowling. Whether or not it’ll satisfy Hogwarts Legacy player’s Quidditch desires remains to be seen, but for some, it may just do the trick.
