Summary Marvel introduces the Venom Horse in comics to coincide with the new Venom movie release, creating chaos in the Venom War storyline.

Eddie and Dylan Brock clash over hosting the Venom symbiote in Venom War, setting the stage for an ultimate wrestling match.

Expect exciting twists as anyone, even a horse, can become a Venom symbiote in the upcoming Venom War series.

Marvel is celebrating the release of the next Venom movie by introducing the Venom Horse into comic form. Venom: The Last Dance is currently slated for an October 25 release date, and the part of the trailer that everyone can't stop talking about is the unveiling of the Venom Horse, the four-hoofed mammal riding high off the high of symbiote power.

Marvel now celebrates the movie release by revealing two Venom Horse variant covers for Venom War #1 and Venom War #2 by Al Ewing and Iban Coello. Carlos Nieto's variant cover for both issues can be viewed below. Beyond just promoting the movie simultaneously with the comics event, this hints at the kind of chaos that could unfold during Venom War.

Marvel aren't stopping with the variant covers, as the Venom Horse will be officially introduced in one-page backup stories told throughout each issue of the five-part Venom War miniseries.

Marvel Promotes Venom: The Last Dance and Venom War

With Two Venom Horse Covers

In the comics, Venom is going through a last dance of his own - one with his son - as both Eddie Brock and Dylan Brock are set to butt heads in the upcoming Venom War. Eddie sees a vision of the future where Venom World consumes the entire planet as the last Venom standing, while Dylan meets his future self. Both men see bleak glimpses of the future, and both men have conflicting viewpoints on how to avert that dark, bleak future.

Both Dylan and Eddie are convinced that they individually need to be the host to the Venom symbiote, and the only way to settle their disagreement is by way of the ultimate wrestling match between the two, pitting several symbiotes against each other in the fracas. Much like the movie, anarchy promises to ensue in this storyline, but while the plots of both will differ, the level of anarchy could be similar once it boils down to who (or what) gets consumed by a symbiote.

Anyone Can Be a Symbiote

Even a Horse

Close

One of the most exciting things about symbiotes is that they can take on the form of literally anybody. A horse that can be Venom personifies that notion, and readers should expect that notion being exercised throughout Venom War. Whether someone like Wolverine gets their own Venom symbiote, or it happens to an unsuspecting animal like the Venom Horse, we all could be Venom during this war, and that's worth getting excited about. It brings a whole new meaning to "We are Venom."
