American Idol's Abi Carter revealed huge news coming soon in her brand-new career. Abi instantly became the frontrunner after she performed Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?" for her American Idol season 22 audition. She then kept the momentum going with many exceptional performances throughout American Idol season 22, including covers of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," Evanescence's "Bring Me Back To Life" and Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain." Abi beat out Will Moseley and Jack Blocker in the finale and was crowned the champion. Since then, Abi has been hard at work on her own music and performing.

While highlighting the best moments from her debut concert, American Idol's Abi Carter revealed major news coming soon in her career.

Abi recently performed her very first solo concert since winning American Idol season 22. Now she's getting ready to hit the road for more concerts, as revealed in her most recent Instagram post. Abi shared a video that showed highlights from her debut concert, No Amount Of Dark, including getting her hair and makeup ready, signing autographs, and performing on stage. However, it was the Instagram post's caption that made news.

Abi wrote that tour dates will be announced soon, so her fans should "look out for a show in a city near you." She added that she couldn't believe her debut concert actually happened and it wasn't a dream, and she thanked everyone involved for helping her make the show a reality. In the comments section, her fellow American Idol season 22 finalist Kaibrienne said she was proud of Abi and added three red-heart emojis. Several concertgoers left comments praising Abi for putting on such a great show.

Back when Abi announced her first post-American Idol concert, there were questions over whether she would add more stops and create a full tour. Her team and record label probably wanted to wait and see if Abi's first concert was a success before creating an entire tour. Abi teasing that a tour is coming soon could be an admission that the label is happy with the outcome and attendance.

The Acrisure Arena, which hosted Abi's concert, has an 11,000-seat capacity. It's unclear how many tickets were sold, but depending on the number, it's possible Abi's team will look at smaller venues that will have an easier time selling out, especially since she's still new in the music industry and isn't a super well known singer just yet, despite winning American Idol. Ratings for every network TV show are much lower than when American Idol was in its prime, so Abi will have to put in a lot of work to make sure people discover her music and concerts.

After she won American Idol season 22, her winning single "This Isn't Over" hit No. 23 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart, which is impressive when factoring in how few people watch network TV nowadays. Ahead of her first concert, Abi released a new song called "Peppermint Sky," which Spotify is featuring in its Fresh Finds Pop and Soft Pop Vibes playlists. Hopefully, the song continues to be exposed to more music listeners in the coming weeks as Abi plans out her upcoming tour.
