My Hero Academia Gets Disrespected By Shonen Jump in Cover For Final Chapter

Summary The final chapter of My Hero Academia fails to get the focus it deserves on Shonen Jump's new cover.

Fans are disheartened as Luffy from One Piece overshadows Deku once again.

My Hero Academia's rise to success and its finale deserve more recognition.

Shonen Jump's newest cover just disrespected My Hero Academia in the same issue that contains its final chapter, and it is equally sad and disappointing at the same time. Despite My Hero Academia being one of Shonen Jump's most popular manga series in the last decade, the cover of its upcoming issue fails to give it the focus it deserves for its grand finale, which has left fans quite discontent.

A post on X by MangaMoguraRE has revealed the cover page for Shonen Jump's upcoming issue #36 which features Luffy from One Piece at the forefront yet again, pushing Deku out of the way. While this seems to be a lighthearted joke on Shueisha's part, fans of My Hero Academia have failed to see the humor in the cover.

Seeing as the upcoming issue will include the final chapter of My Hero Academia, many hoped that Deku would finally take the center spot on the cover instead of Luffy who has been dominating Shonen Jump's covers and promotional material for decades.

My Hero Academia Loses the Spotlight to One Piece Yet Again

Shonen Jump's Cover Fails To Give My Hero Academia's Finale Due Attention

Seeing as My Hero Academia did receive a dedicated cover in last week's issue, surely fans did not expect the series to take the cover yet again. Yet, it would have been nice to see Deku featured more prominently instead of being shoved aside now that the series has ended.

It should be noted that the "shove" could be an unintended result of the collage of characters' shots. However, there is no doubt that One Piece has always been Shueisha's golden child. My Hero Academia certainly deserves much more credit for being able to rise to the heights that it has over the years, becoming one of the most influential manga in the past decade.
