College Football 25: How To Throw a Touch Pass

Having different weapons in your arsenal is vital to success in College Football 25, including being able to throw a touch pass. While an effective running game can help move you up the pitch, passing is crucial to quickly get the ball moving. Along with the best tips for success, using the right type of pass is vital. There are many different options to use when throwing the football, and all have a time and a place when they are the most effective.

There are three main types of passes that you can execute in College Football 25, regardless of whether you are using one of the top 10 players in College Football 25 or a newly created rookie: lob passes, bullet passes, and touch passes. Lob passes are higher balls that spend longer in the air and can drop over the top of defenses, while Bullet passes have a much lower arch and are thrown at an extra pace. The touch pass is between the two, thrown at speed but with a lower arch, making them hard to intercept.

Choosing The Right Option When Passing

The touch pass is your best all-around option when throwing the football. However, in addition to different types of passes, there are a variety of different control schemes that will affect how you perform a touch pass. Touch passes are easy to use and reliable for lower-rated players in the Road to Glory mode. There are four different schemes to choose from: Classic, Placement, Placement and Accuracy, and finally, Revamped.

Classic is the simplest to use, but it brings less control. With this selected, the type of throw you make determines how long you hold the receiver button down. If you hold down the button for about half a second, you will execute a touch pass.

If you choose either the Placement or the Revamped control options, you will see bars appear on the screen each time you go to make a throw. If you hold the receiver button down until the respective bars are around two-thirds full, it will execute a touch pass again.

The final control set is the Placement and Accuracy option, where you instead need to time your throw so it is inside the green zone of the bar. If you time the bar to be half full, you can throw a touch pass.

Regardless of which control scheme you use in College Football 25, a touch pass is a very effective weapon that should be your go-to passing option on offense.
