In contrast, Ultimate Ajax's horns lose a lot of their character, and his faceplate looks more like shutters. His overall suit is also just a bit over-designed. Despite his underwhelming look, Ultimate Ajax is still a great pick in terms of gameplay.

Ultimate Ajax is the only Ultimate Descendant option for players looking to play a tank. Like any good tank build, Ultimate Ajax is best when players focus on having high HP and defense stats. This will allow them to take a lot of damage and make them a good player to pull aggro from enemies in co-op mode. Players can also use the Overwhelming HP module to add a percentage of their shields to their max HP. This means that it is a good idea to buff both HP and shields for this build.

Base Ajax is similarly the only non-Ultimate character in The First Descendant to have the Tank role. This is likely to change in the future as the game adds more Descendants.

Ultimate Gley's helmet is reminiscent of a Norse Valkyrie's, which is a cool look for a tough fighter. Her color palette works well, and the gold highlights are an especially nice touch to add some subtle hints of color to the overall outfit. While the top half of Gley's outfit is all pretty stylish, the fact that it has so many exposed areas on the bottom half makes it pretty impractical. This sadly plays into the trend of armor for female characters feeling like it was designed to be voyeuristic instead of protective like the male characters' armor.

Ultimate Gley is a non-attribute DPS Descendant with an interesting gimmick. Ultimate Gley only has HP and defense stats, which would initially seem like a downside. However, this actually allows players to choose modules that would otherwise have an upside and a downside and make them all benefit with no loss. For example, HP Amplification increases max HP but reduces max shield. However, since Ultimate Gley has no shield, this only raises max HP. Similarly, MP Conversion reduces skill cooldown times with no downside, as its max MP reduction does nothing to Ultimate Gley.

Ultimate Lepic is a nice step up from Ultimate Ajax and Gley in terms of style. His helmet looks like a futuristic version of a medieval knight's, giving him a classic but also modern look. The light features on his arms and chest also add some nice contrast to the dark armor. If there is one complaint here, it's that his white satchels seem to clash with the rest of his outfit. They seem just a bit too light to fully go with everything. Lepic is still a fun Descendant, he's just not worthy of the top spot in terms of style.

Ultimate Lepic is a DPS Descendant with the fire attribute. The basic playstyle for Ultimate Lepic is to try and maximize the efficiency of his Grenade and Overkill skills, and their interaction with his Overclock skill. Overclock will add burn effects to both Grenade and Overkill while it is active. This means players will want to get off as many activations of the two skills during that time limit. One good way to do this is to build Ultimate Lepic in a way that reduces skill cost and cooldown rates.

Some modules that work well for Ultimate Lepic’s playstyle are Strong Mentality and Weighing the Scales, which both reduce Skill Cost. Nimble Fingers is another good module, as it reduces skill cooldown times. Because Ultimate Lepic’s main skills are Tech and Fire skills, Tech Specialist and Fire Specialist are also good modules to consider when playing as this Descendant. It also means that the Burning Mechanics Reactor is a good fit for this character’s Reactor, as it will also help with both Fire and Tech skills.

Her belts and the loose fabric on the front and back of her torso also help create more dynamic action poses, since they shift and move with her.

Ultimate Viessa is a unique character because she is the only Ultimate Descendant who uses debuffs in her play style. As a Chill attribute character, Ultimate Viessa can benefit from modules that buff that style of attack and skills. Ultimate Viessa also has relatively low cooldown rates and skill costs to start out. By decreasing these even further, players can focus on a build that allows them to constantly spam their abilities. This will help them produce more constant damage while also deploying regular debuffs.

Because players will want to reduce skill cost and cooldown, modules like Focus on Chill and Nimble Fingers are good options. Cold-Bloodedness is perhaps one of the strongest modules for Ultimate Viessa as it reduces both skill cost and cooldown while also increasing skill power. This means players will have an easier time spamming their skills while also doing increased damage with them. The Frozen Mixture Reactor is another good addition to this build, as it will also decrease skill cost while boosting the power of any Chill skill.

Spamming skills can be a very engaging play style, though possibly a more demanding one. Players will have to remember to activate their skills more often than they would normally with another character, and they will be less effective if they aren’t on top of it. However, this also means a build like this will keep players focused on the action.

Ultimate Bunny's costume is a great design because it feels wholly original for The First Descendant. Character silhouettes from most of the Ultimate Descendants, especially Ajax and Lepic, could easily be mistaken for generic armored characters from any game. Bunny's rabbit ears on her mask and sharp helmet design give her a much more recognizable and distinct look. Some of Bunny's skins being less protective also makes a little more sense for a character who needs to be able to move quickly and freely.

Ultimate Bunny is an Electric attribute DPS Descendant who focuses on dealing consistent damage to enemies. Ultimate Bunny’s skills, Thrill Bomb, Lightning Emission, and Maximum Power, deal damage to enemies throughout their duration, which means modules that extend how long these skills last are a good choice for this build. Increasing the effective range of these skills is another thing that players should focus on when building Ultimate Bunny, as this will make it easier to damage a larger number of enemies at once.

Some good modules for this build are Frugal Mindset and Skill Expansion, which both increase skill effect range. MP Accelerant and Skill Extension both increase skill duration. MP Collector is another good addition to this Bunny build. It will allow Ultimate Bunny to recover MP when defeating enemies. Because Ultimate Bunny will be damaging a lot of enemies at once, the potential for this skill to return a lot of MP is pretty high.
