As Evil nears its conclusion, Leland faces the harsh reality of his actions and the legal system's grip.
Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson) may have had a massive victory in Evil season 4, but he may face real consequences soon. The show, which stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi, is in its final season. It will be coming to an end on August 22, which has caused the co-creators, Robert and Michelle King, to work tirelessly to close up the many loose ends. As Evil rapidly marches towards its conclusion, Leland finally makes a shocking move that saw him kill Sheryl.
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Emerson opened up about Sheryl's death and the effect that it will have on Leland's life. While he did have a short-term victory, he was recently arrested and is facing the long-term consequences of his actions. As much as Leland thinks that he can outplay his enemies, he will still need to fight the legal system. Check out Emerson's full quote below:
I guess that's a notion that is still dawning on me. I know at the end of that fight that a third actor comes into play and saves Leland. But I'm still not certain how Sheryl leaves this life. But I guess it does seem a bit of a victory for Leland, in the short term, but he's not out of the woods. And finally, the legal system has him in their hands. And maybe he's not the showrunner that he thinks he is.
