There has been zero communication from Netflix on whether there will be Owning Manhattan season 2. However, based on previous shows on the platform, Netflix sometimes waits a few weeks or months after a series has dropped before announcing a fresh new season. While speaking to House Beautiful, Ryan gave hints of a supposed Owning Manhattan season 2, adding that there were hopes for the continuity of the reality series.
"We have filmed some things that we weren't able to continue with by the time shooting ended. They didn't make sense for season. I think they are primed for season two and are intense, to say the least."
If Owning Manhattan season 2 premieres, most cast members, including Ryan, Chloe Tucker Cain, Tricia Lee, Jordan March, Philip Salem, Genesis Suero, and the rest of SERHANT agents, will return. The only unlikely returnee of Owning Manhattan will be Jonathan Normolle. Ryan dismissed him from the company after his unprofessional behavior, which he failed to take accountability for, thus resulting in his firing. However, with Ryan noting there were some scenes from Owning Manhattan season 1 that didn't make a cut, there could be a high likelihood that the viewers will see Jonathan in Owning Manhattan season 2.
When Will Owning Manhattan Season 2 Start Filming?
If Netflix renewed Owning Manhattan, the filming should start immediately so that it's ready by mid-year 2025. Normally, the episodes air 8–12 months after filming. Owning Manhattan season one premiered on June 28. Although Netflix filmed Owning Manhattan season 1 for two years, there is a possibility that Ryan and his team stopped shooting around September or October 2023. Therefore, unless Owning Manhattan season 2 films for two years, viewers should expect it by July 2025.
