Despicable Me 4 VOD Release Date Revealed After $752M Box Office Run

Despicable Me 4's VOD release date has now been revealed. Directed by Chris Renaud, the latest installment in the Despicable Me franchise sees Steve Carell return to the role of Gru once more, this time working with his family – including the mischievious Gru Jr. – to take on the villainous Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend, Valentina. The Despicable Me 4 reviews may have been somewhat mixed, but the film has been a major box office hit.

Now, Universal reveals that Despicable Me 4 will release on VOD on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. When purchased from participating retailers, the digital release will include two Minion mini-movies, including Benny's Birthday and Game Over and Over. Benny's Birthday will follow Benny as he becomes stuck in a time loop while celebrating a birthday Minions-style, while Game Over and Over depicts the mayhem that ensues after Minions discover a game controller that gives them the ability to control one another.
