While it's true that Fallout 4's combat is much better than the likes of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, it could be better. There are ways to fix this as the modding community has had just under a decade to refine Bethesda's original combat mechanics.

Many of these can be tricky to overcome, making exploration and progression a more meaningful process.
