A new leak about Madame Ping’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact has been shared and, while the information is still scarce and unconfirmed, it does sound like a big disappointment. Madame Ping, or Streetward Rambler, is currently an elderly NPC that players can find in Liyue. She has had many interactions with the Traveler, such as during Lantern Rite Festival quests and presenting them to the Serenitea Pot, the game’s housing system. Her backstory has been explored previously, but there have been previous leaks about the possibility of Madame Ping finally becoming playable, like Xianyun in Genshin Impact.

Madame Ping becoming playable is still under heavy debate, but it does make sense. The Adeptus known as Cloud Retainer, who was initially been presented as a crane-like deity, later had her humanoid form presented – and a year later, was released as Xianyun. As seen in the rumor, Madame Ping’s Skill may be related to Plunging Attacks. This means that, by activating her Skill, she may trigger special effects for Plunging Attacks. At the moment, it is uncertain if she will take to the skies like Xianyun’s Skill or boost other characters’ Plunging Attacks like Xianyun’s Burst in Genshin Impact, for example. Of course, it may be completely different.
