In the three years since the deadly conclusion of The White Lotus season 2, a lot has been revealed about the future of the Emmy-winning dark comedy from creator Mike White. The upcoming installment will unfold in Thailand, with a focus on Eastern spirituality and religion overall. Some of The White Lotus season 3 cast members include veteran actors, HBO regulars, and the returning Natasha Rothwell as Belinda.

Max has unveiled a new sizzle reel that includes footage of its upcoming shows, such as Welcome to Derry, The Last of Us season 2, and The White Lotus season 3.

The footage of the upcoming season is brief, largely showing the new vacationers arriving at the titular resort. A character says: “What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand.” Another brief scene highlights Rothwell's return to the series, with Belinda putting on a big smile.

Unlike previous seasons, which focused on a relatively small number of guests, like Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya McQuoid, White has teased a more supersized version of his critical favorite. Some of the first names to be announced, after Rothwell's return, were Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul, and Tayme Thapthimthong.

Other new additions are HBO regular Carrie Coon, known for her performances in The Leftovers and The Gilded Age, which will also return for season 3 in 2025. Fallout and Justified favorite Walton Goggins is also checking in to the resort alongside Miloš Biković, Christian Friedel, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood.
