Fortnite: How To Start A Fall Guys Challenge

The long-awaited Fall Guys crossover has officially kicked off in Fortnite, bringing a floating obstacle course and a new set of "Where We Fallin'?" quests to the game. One of these challenges requires players to start a Fall Guys challenge at a Bean Idol, but there's not much in the way of clues on how to do that. Fortunately, it's a fairly easy thing to start once you know where to look.

There have been countless crossovers in Fortnite at this point, so it's not a massive surprise to see Fall Guys come to the popular Battle Royale, especially as both games are owned by Epic Games. Unlike many other collabs, though, this one doesn't just feature a set of fancy cosmetics to get your hands on. There's also a Fall Guys challenge to take part in that brings the iconic obstacle course to the Island.

How To Start A Fall Guys Challenge In Fortnite

Look For The Bean Idols

At the start of a Battle Royale match, open the Fortnite map and look for the Bean that appears somewhere on the Island. It's only small, but it's bright pink so it shouldn't be too difficult to spot. Once you've found it, jump out of the Battle Bus and head for that location. You should notice an assault course floating in the air above the Island. This is how you know you're in the right area.

Look for a silver Bean Idol statue on the ground underneath the beginning of the assault course. If you interact with it, you'll be transported to the floating assault course and transformed into a Bean. This is the beginning of the Fall Guys challenge. If you manage to make it to the finish line, you'll be rewarded with a handful of loot when you land back on the Island.

Some classic skins in Fortnite have a Bean variant which you'll wear when you begin a Fall Guys challenge, but others, such as Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga, don't have one yet. In that case, you'll wear a default Bean outfit.

If you've not played Fall Guys before, it might take a little while to get used to the controls, as Beans are a lot less agile than your regular Fortnite characters. You can jump and dive to get across wide gaps, grab onto a ledge to pull yourself up, and bounce on certain obstacles to get some air time. Other players can also get in your way, although there are weapons in this mini-game.

Starting and finishing the Fall Guys challenge is just one of the "Where We Fallin'?" quests available in the game. You'll also need to run, mantle over walls, dive, bounce, and emote several times on the obstacle course to complete all of the challenges and earn the Fall Guys-themed cosmetics that are available in Fortnite, including the game's memorable theme tune as a Lobby Track.
