Once Human: All Lucky Cat Locations & Rewards

Once Human: All Lucky Cat Locations & Rewards

Once Human is an open-world survival RPG set in a monstrous post-apocalyptic future, but it's also a game where you can solve puzzles, find secrets, and collect cat statues. These lucky cats hide in a few corners of the Chalk Peak region, and while they're not too hard to find, they will see you traveling all over in order to grab them. When you find one, interact with it and fully exhaust its dialogue before moving on. It will give you its rewards as well as a hint as to the locations of the other cats.

The lucky cat statues are maneki neko, which are Japanese cat figurines that are said to bring good luck to those who see them. This seems to be the case in Once Human as well, as finding all four cats and collecting their rewards will net you a tidy sum of EXP and Energy Links. Finding treasure isn't the only way to grab rewards in Once Human; players can also redeem monthly codes that will stock them up. To get started finding all four Lucky Cats, head to Chalk Peak and start hunting.

All Four Lucky Cat Locations In Once Human

A Thorough Exploration Of Chalk Peak

The first of the four cats is in Paisley Plaza, to the north of the Tall Grass Inn in the Chalk Peak region of Nalcott Island. Head around the main house to the single-story red brick house behind it, where the first cat will be sitting on the porch. Talk to it and exhaust its dialogue to be rewarded with one Cat's Treasure Fragment, as well as a clue about the locations of the other cats.

Make traveling from one cat to the next easier and more convenient by hopping on your motorcycle, which makes exploration much quicker and is an essential early-game unlock.

Your next location is going to be in the Believer Colony. Find the broken-down wooden building, and the Lucky Cat will be sitting inside the main hall. This cat is going to ask for three items in exchange for its Cat's Treasure Fragment, but luckily, you can give it whatever you want and receive your reward.

The third cat is in the Mining Town location, and to talk to this one you'll need to get up onto the roof of the B Mart building. To scale it, head around to the back of the building and use your vehicle, trashcans, or even the crashed ambulance nearby to boost yourself up to the roof. Like the others, chat with the Lucky Cat here to receive the third Cat's Treasure Fragment. This leaves just one more to go.

For the last Lucky Cat, you should find it pretty easily at the Brewery Estate. The "Joy and Sorrow" quest will bring you here naturally, but you can head here early if you'd like. In the large white building at the head of the estate, head inside and into the room on the right. Right around the corner, against the wall, you'll find your fourth and final Lucky Cat. Have one last chat with the cat to get the last Cat's Treasure Fragment.

What To Do With The Cat's Treasure Fragments

Use The Fortune Cat's Map To Get Your Rewards

Once you get the last Cat's Treasure Fragment piece, they'll combine in your inventory to make the Fortune Cat's Map. This map's location isn't completely obvious out of the gate, but if you compare it to the in-game map of the world, you'll notice that it points to the Boss' Playground, which is located to the south of the Brewery Estate. Head there and find the wooden two-story building at the back of the area.

Take note that this area is pretty populated with enemies, so it's recommended that you reach level 35 or higher before you head here.

Inside this building, on the ground floor, you'll find a gear crate holding the Lucky Cat's Treasure. If you're having trouble navigating the fights, maybe try bringing along a Deviant, like Butterfly, to help you out. Inside the Lucky Cat's Treasure chest, you'll find 250 EXP, 500 Energy Link, Battle Pass Exp, Stellar Planula, and the Eclipse Cortex Lv.2

No matter when you choose to head to the Lucky Cat's Treasure, you'll get some use out of the rewards you receive. Once Human's rewards system is pretty generous, but these little caches really make a difference. Make sure you pick up everything before heading on to your next adventure on Nalcott Island.
